I love the sound of the v6's and the fact that rims are now modable

That's not true IMO. I stated in my reply (http://www.automationgame.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=6334) when you original mentioned that you were of the opinion that the "New" and "Choose buttons were unnecessary that I agreed the "New button was unnecessary, but the "Choose" button is needed because without it we lose the table with all the engine stats, which is sometimes very handy. I'd really like to have the Choose button back for that reason.

I also suggest that the engine drop-down display engines that don't fit in red.

Something you cannot know is that the drop-down menus are not considered done, there will be more info shown in them and even a thumbnail of what you are choosing, coming much closer to being like the engine manager itself. Until then, you are correct, but in the long run it will not be needed. Considering how much the choose button complicated the car building logic, we stand with the choice we made, although it is not perfect and will need improvements.

Re: Open Beta (B150619+) Feedback

Hi guys. So, I finally got a chance to boot up the game, and.....guess what? There's no V6s. Can't mess with the car bodies either.

Can somebody explain what's going on? I *know* for a fact that I opted in for the public beta some time before it was released yesterday.....but, is it possible that I may have missed something? If I need to take another step, please let me know, although I'm sure I did everything correctly. :?

Edit: Ah, here's the problem! I found out that I had to update Steam itself first. Whoopsie. :P

All the new features are superb! I really like the V6's :)
But I think I have found a bug: it seems everytime I start my game, that a lot of my engines are gone.
For example: I had 10 engine trims, restart the game: 2 engine trims.

Oh, that's unfortunate. I do hope they fix that soon. :|

Uh oh, not that stuff again :s did this happen when building engines only or when building engines as a part of a car? Did you change years?

It happened when I was building engines only, and I also changed the years.

I had actually done that when looking to reinstall the mods I had before the new update/open beta but when I opened it up I found the mods I had were still there. They just weren't being read by the game for some reason. Am I looking in the wrong place as far as where to put mods now compared to before, or will I not be able to use any until Workshop?

The best bet would be to wait for steam workshop, to install mods you may have to do it one file at a time i.e Cars>Front>large then put the large car file in here and so on with the rest for each file

Re: Open Beta (B150619+) Feedback

Hi guys, I am really enjoying this new update but I have been noticing something peculiar with the way the game is factoring quality. For example when you increase the quality on the engine components tab and you increase the quality the price off the engine decreases. I am assuing something is broken with that. The stats go up but the price goes down. I noticed this prior to the beta as well, but I assumed someone had already seen it by now. Really loving the V6's though. Thank you for this game :D .

No, that is perfectly in order. The cost you are referring to is the material cost, which goes down when components decrease in weight because you use less of the same material. Cheers!

Oh that is interesting. Well my I suggest you add a note to the quality slider saying that or putting an a tutorial somewhere, because I would have never considered this. So what would be the reasoning for not making the quality as high as possible for everything?
Edit: NVM production units go up. I am so silly. Thanks for the V6s :D

Speaking of feedback, why is the sound so screwed up?

EDIT: Nope. Still doing it.
