Re: Automation Community Racing

Not really, the fastest driver I saw was reaching 190.8 isn in that car, so that's where I tuned my car to as well. The XFG is a bit slower in a straight line but a bit more nimble in the corners, I'm getting that to about 188ish on a 1:35.9 lap.

Re: Automation Community Racing

I'm gonna lose so hard in the XFG race because that lift-off oversteer keeps killing me. I feel alright with the XRG though

I've got the XRG's tail in check most of the time, but the XFG, man... how can a car be so loose xD

Re: Automation Community Racing

I'm only good with the Formula BMW... drifted the damn thing too.

I have to say that the XRG is easy to control but gutless. Really gutless. It starts understeering when you go a gear too high
The XFG instead seems to be quicker, but... like Tom said... loose as f**k.

Oh, i'm using a black paintjob with "MAAAAAAD" license plate

Re: Automation Community Racing

It took a significant amount of tuning to get the XFG faster... I sacrificed a bit of time (so low 1:36) in order to get the tyre temps even, required some funky cambering!

How do you check those? I'm so confused, also, their wear. Aaaand the fuel tank.
Someone really needs to explain me how you tune cars decently here... being used to other sims this looks hard to use.

Re: Automation Community Racing

Check the forum guides for advanced tools, but you can tune by making a new setup in the garage. To get an idea of live wheel and suspension loads, hit F, and for tyre and clutch temps, hit F9.

Re: Automation Community Racing

Hello everyone, I will be one of the race stewards for the event.

I would suggest that everyone reads this:

http://en.lfsmanual.net/index.php?title ... oldid=3909

Or at the very least the following sections:

Online racing etiquette
Surviving Turn One
Obeying Flags

Any disrespect of these rules could result in penalties or a ban from all events, depending on the gravity of the offense.

A slight tap once in a while in GTI because you braked a tad late is fine, ramming someone off the road is not.

I understand that some of you might be fairly inexperienced and I totally understand this, just be cautious, especially on turn 1, and try not to cause accidents.

Also, if anyone is found to ramming people off track on purpose, or to be a complete asswanker™ said person will be banned for the day.

And don't forget to have fun!

Edit: We will have a pre-race briefing on the IRC chat and on TS3 before the race. If you could join this would be greatly appreciated. Racing will probably start at 21:45 CET, with free practice before that.

(Maybe it wasn't a bad thing though, i would have wiped out several cars alongside my own)
