Re: 2016 Automation Chicago Auto Show (13.02 - 21.02)

Considering it has a 0 comfort rating, it most definitely would not be driven around by such a rich clientele.

Tucked away in a corner of the show hall was something known only as "Pangea V12" a name as mysterious as the car that bears it. The only information was on a plaque, reading:

"V12, 60V DOHC, 12949cc. 1850 hp @8400 RPM, 1257 ft-lb @6800 RPM. Top speed: 272.4 mph/438.4 km/h. 0-62 mph/0-100 km/h: 2.3s. 1/4 mile: 8.7s. Standing km: 14.94s. Seats 4."

Coureur Presents The 2016 XLA At The Chicago Auto Show

The XLA is a luxury sedan. There are 3 engine options and a rumor of a fourth one. A 2.5L Turbocharged i4, a 3.5L Twin Turbo V6, and a 5.0L Twin Turbo V6. There is a rumor of a 5.0 N/A V8 provided by CRG. Coureur is the luxury division of SpearMan, and has been around since 1985. Coureur Racing Group (CRG) has been around since 1993, when they entered the 1993 DTM championship.

With a 3.0L Twin Turbo Inline 6, known in-house as the Q-44-OHK-8, producing around 400hp, this little machine is nippy. Unlike many other GAG company owned cars, this one's turbo lag won't kill your face.

If the public reaction is positive, we might just consider bringing a reengineered version of the Alpine and Okavango to the united states, but unfortunately they might lose some of their original character...
In other news, Monolith has another surprise lined up for tomorrow...

Re: 2016 Automation Chicago Auto Show (13.02 - 21.02)

When we first set up our exhibit in ACIAS, many people were baffled as to why we bothered showing the Monolith Alpine and Okavango even though neither of them is officially sold in North America. Some also complained that we were lazy for not bringing anything completely new to the table. As it turns out there was an intention behind that.
Ladies and Gentlemen, we present to you the ALL NEW 2017 MONOLITH ATACAMA! Image Image
Developed in top secrecy over the past five years, the Monolith Atacama combines the rugged capability of the legendary Monolith Okavango with the fuel economy of the Monolith Alpine and the practicality and easy of use of the Monolith Neptune. For the first time ever, a Monolith truck will be sold on all continents simultaneously, yes even in the highly demanding US market. It is thus engineered to meet and exceed all existing regulations. Each engine option was carefully designed to meet the demands of the different markets. The North American version will receive the proven and flexible 3.75L V6 paired to a 9-speed Automatic transmission, pitting the Monolith Atacama right against the Jeep Wrangler. The european model will be sold exclusively with a new 2.4L Diesel engine also available in South America, Africa, Australia, South Korea and Japan. Those markets as well as the rest of the world will also be able to select a brand new 3.0L Flex-Fuel engine extensively tested in the roughest environments on the planet to ensure absolute dependability. The US market Atacama will start at $33,000, other markets might be cheaper than that.

We are also proud to announce that a new Monolith M-series is on the way. The all new M161 marks the return of the long running nameplate after a four year hiatus. It is available with the choice of a 3.7L I6 Diesel, a 4.9L V8 Diesel, the 5.2L IMP GE Series high efficiency V12 in two specifications, 275 and 375hp. As a bit of a bonus, we also consider an X trim with the special duty 7.8L IMP GL78EII V12 with 627hp. Image Image Prices start at $78,595 for the I6 Diesel, and go up to $123,845 for the L12X trim. All Monolith M161 come fully equipped.

Finally, a vision of the possible future, the C12RT Concept truck. Based on an early version of the next generation Monolith Artisan trucks platform, the C12RT is a lifestyle oriented compact pick-up truck with classic retro design. We have two variants on display, a sports truck and an off road oriented SUV. Both are equipped with a 4.8L IMP GE Series V12. Image Image

Interesting designs. I like the originality of them; haven't seen headlight shapes like that before, for example.

Re: 2016 Automation Chicago Auto Show (13.02 - 21.02)

(I hope if releasing day by day format will be not cheating here squid :D )

Airborne Automotive at their exhibit showed today one new car, the Knossos and basic specs of F15 Patricia well known from AMWEC 2015, this one from the start line.

First car, the Knossos, is a huge SUV that works as replacement for Arthemis, one of longest-produced vehicles for company which was also the only vehicle available in Africa oficially from 1990 to November 2006. New SUV is practically the opposite of it's precedessor - it's no longer spartan, it's fitted with luxury but it's still capable in offroad thanks to AWD and lifted suspension configured specially for mud roads and various surfaces (except rocks - this car is not rock crawler). It utilises hard long life road to be useful as in off-road, as on the street. Design features clues from newest Airborne cars, such as F15 Patricia, Cerera, Megi or even some clues from Auxuras vehicles, because some designer from them helped us (we won't tell which one, due to his boss and wife :D ). Knossos appears in three versions of engines, but the cars look the same in fact (except rims):

1. Standard (with turbocharged inline 6)
First engine available for Knossos is 2500cc inline 6 with turbocharging known from new Alpha, but tuned for moving such a heavy vehicle as the Knossos is. With tune-up to 400 hp, cutting redline down for better off-roading, automatic torque converter (which is uncommon gearbox in our company and in fact for now appears only in Knossos), McPherson struts in front and MultiLink suspension in rear this two ton tank can go to 100 km/h in time not exceeding 7 seconds and can reach acceptable top speed of 219 km/h.
Price (MY2016): 168.720 $

2. Knossos S (with NA V8)
Second engine that you can select for Knossos is V8 NA one delivered from Cerera and slightly detuned for better off-roading use (505 hp vs 494 - not really a difference, huh?). It features the same equipment as the I6 - just another engine. Of course, suspension is slightly stiffened in comparison to the weaker one, and the car is really faster - Knossos S can reach 254 km/h and 4.4 seconds to 100 with ease despite fact it weighs 2139 kilos! Currently it's the heaviest car we offer in the company, by the way.
Price (MY2016): 204.390 $

3. Knossos Speed 12 (V12!!!)
The last one is the best one - what will happen if you will give Knossos S to Airborne Speed Division which is featured with speed freaks? Knossos Speed 12! It features V12 engine with no turbocharging specially made for Knossos. It has over 600 hp and with sequential gearbox it can move itself to 100 in unreal time of 3.5 seconds and can reach 290 km/h which pulls Knossos into performance area of Bentley Bentayga! The Knossos S12 is put on display in fact - don't be fooled by V8 badges, it's just our mismatch which we decided to trick out spy photographs.
Price (MY2016): 254.800 $

F15 Patricia basic specs:
Top Speed: ~340 km/h
0-100: ~3.3 sec
Engine: V6 DOHC 3899cm3
Maximum Power: 479 hp @ 7900 rpm
Maximum Torque: 461 Nm @ 6500 rpm
Weight: ~1150 kg

Airborne Automotive is open for interviews and questions, we will answer them all! :D
