Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [RACE 2 P&Q]

For crashing twice on consecutive laps I'm very happy with managing to come home in 21st. The car was fast, it made no errors, and my pit strategy helped me find some extra tenths thanks to a reduced fuel load. It was a good day in the Boss camp and the car showed its resilience and durability in making it to the pits after both accidents with minor damage. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [RACE 2 P&Q]

Beginning of race...wow! 30 minutes of carnage, followed by near silence! If only I could have drafted Der Bayer at the end and gained another spot. hahaha

Pretty good race for SME. I'm very proud of my team and all of their hard work to get this car into the top 15. After qualifying so low in 23rd, finishing near the top 10 is great! Let's hope we can continue the progress!

Some stats from the race:

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [RACE 2 P&Q]

Thanks for posting that Kristina, I was having difficulty figuring out where I actually stood. I didn't expect Snetterton to be a strong race for me, and my car seems to enjoy the wet more than it does the dry. But at the same time, I think I also goofed with the pit strategy, given I was out on unusually worn tyres through what appeared to be pretty much the latter half of the race? I wish I had more time to look at the entire stream and think about it properly.

Strop, I think you were suffering from accidents and driver errors, IIRC. I don't remember how many pits you had, but perhaps timing with said damages and errors made the pit strategy work against itself?

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [RACE 2 P&Q]

That was a really good race for me. I was up in 17th before my driver error at the end which surprised me. One thing, would we be able to see a more complete overall standings because I am out of the top 24 but have gotten points in both races, and would like to see who I am competing with.

A quick (it may be wrong) scan of the results said I only pit once, which struck me as a bit weird. I don't remember what I did to my pit strategy though, as I'm not particularly organised for an undertaking of this magnitude. I know I had a 43.9% collision with somebody about midway through the race and was compelled to pit for that, but that was the only one. I also think I may have increased my ends of race margins, such that by the time my tyres were worn enough to pit after that unplanned stop, I was in the window so didn't actually pit though I may have theoretically benefited maybe one or two positions? I'd have to scrutinise more carefully if I wanted to know for sure.

The other thing that counts against me is that my car lacks top end pace. I'm quite happy to see the mixture of body types doing well in this contest, and that FR is competitive, and FF is viable.

Yeah, unfortunately we didn't get a really good look at the entire placement list at the end. It could be derived from the in-race shots, but not from the final review. We also only really saw 1st-24th in the final review for overall points standings. I will go back through and try to get a complete final results listing for the race and from last weeks race also.

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [RACE 2 P&Q]

Here are the final results for 1st through 69th place for today's race at Snetterton. Please note the gap listed for 53rd on is wrong, as it wasn't shown at the actual end of the race.

Below are the race results from Silverstone (Race 1). Please note 65th onward was not shown at end.

And finally, points carried forward from Silverstone. Please note, these are not the only points scored during week 1. This list include qualifying points (and lead lap points?), so they are not what you will receive for each finishing position.

So much carnage that in time it took Vikus' engine to explode, 4 cars have already been scrapped.

There's too many reckless drivers! I demand they get a lesson in form of a race ban!

What a smashing race! Really enjoyed the commentary, it was pretty explosive at times.

The rain from next race, wow. 87%? That's gonna be a blast.

Congrats Marcus, a fiery win. Congrats Packbat on leading the red hot championship race.

Also.
Crash, wham, bang, explosion, NormanVauxhall, detonate.
