Oh, super belated: are there plans to update the Trump Cards to distinguish DAOHC (not that I think anyone used it), SOHC, and DOHC?

I'm also doing poorly on ATT 2.22.9 and the problem is that I can not locate what is holding me back by let's say at least second, which is acceptable for lightweight. I get that Silverstone is fast that's why I dropped 20 places since pre-seasone ATT race and I hope I can get back to middle field (if I do not die again) but what I relly want is to understand dynamics (and it's flaws) of my car :)

Send me your car and I will see what I can tell you

I suggest the BRC66 Topic should be put in the top part of the topics list (the hot ones or how are they called) so we don't have to search for it :D . Since it's THE THING happening now under challenges & competitions.

I used DAOHC in the communist hatchback.
Not that it was fast anyway.

Ah, cool. DAOHC is such a weird valvetrain - the iconoclast in me wants to see it get more use.

IRL it's used both by Jaguar, V12; and by Volvo, I4. Used from 1976 till 1998. Several millions were made.

isn't today's engine that is a DOHC without a rocker arm technically a dual DAOHC?

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [RACE 2 P&Q]

I looked at airjordans car and then the trump cards and you guys really have to stop ruining your engines by cutting the RPM at peak power. You need to maximise the performance index. You know the ideal spot to stop is when the reliability starts dropping like flies.
Engine has too much power? Lower fuel mix and compression instead.

The PI gives you a buffer when you shift gears because the rpm falls back below the peak performance point. When its properly set you are quicker back where you ought to be.

Has none of you seen killrobs car building brc 1955 video? Shameful!

This is actually something that is really easy to overlook - the engine designer starts showing color on the valves well before the engine loses much reliability due to valve float. Which ties in with what I would suggest: if you can't rev high enough to reach your max power, shorten the stroke and increase the bore. Shorter stroke = greater survivable revs; larger bore = power at lower revs.

Also, bear in mind that there's a reason V8s and V12s exist: more cylinders = smaller cylinders per displacement = better revs. They're heavier than V6s, but you can get more power out of them without investing in ludicrous bottom-end quality.

When I'm setting up my engines, I sometimes go a little bit over the maximum PI - often enough, I've found that to give better performance in practice.

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [RACE 2 P&Q]

if my memorries serve well, there only 2 accident between my car and others car

on second preseason test, someone crash to me and lightly damage my car while he insta knocked down
on today race, both i and Riso knocked each other but still manage to bring victim to others.

i could say that my car will bring karma to others if someone touch him

Updating strategy to pit if damaged in the beginning: check!
So much carnage, so much damage, no chance to catch up
ABR (ambitious but rubbish) Designs, freshly founded car company in 5th floor apartment, looking for more suitable workshop
Will be updated soon... ish... perhaps... hopefully
