Having said that, I must say a proud 0 safety rating man myself. If my the driver crashes it's because he drove it wrong.

And the scary thing is that there were worse crashes than that. IIRC the worst was around 200% !

I ended up being glad I choose to put Standard safety because my car survived a crash with 74% damage and proceeded to finish 20th at the end

My pit crew is under instructions to get out the duct tape whenever my driver looks at a wall funny. I want my car to finish the race!

(I actually have no special safety systems at all to protect the driver - just lots and lots of iron.)

You'll probably have to resubmit via BRCTool to get the number changed. I think Der Bayer's BRC stuff is set to read from the files you submit, and while it is probably possible to change it by editing the LUA file, I doubt he's going to want to do it by hand when he has a handy tool for you to make it already so.
