(One thing you can do to add interest when you're well back from the leaders is pick someone closer to your speed as a rival. I spent a lot of races last season rooting for my little dot to catch up to 07CobaltGirl's - rarely did, if I recall.)

It's often referred to as "setting the bar low". ;) You caught me several times....due to blown engines.

...it's apparently been a longer day than I thought. -_-

Edit: And I reversed a "more" and "less" in an earlier post, too! Aagh!

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [BUILD]

it's only now that i watched the test video.
i submitted my car with the number 95.
but on the video 95 is taken by przemicho.

i didn't got any feedback from der bayer, so i assumed it was safe, and i got that number.

until i realised.... there's 2 car with number 95????

also.... tire wear penalty is quite amazing.... im consistently losing almost 0.1 second per lap. didn't expected this to happen

It is highly likely that with so many participants there are many double or even triple requests for numbers. Giving feedback to every one of them I think would be too much to ask.

well.... yes....it's my bad.
i assumed that 1 number is only for 1 car. as i found out there's also 2 number 25(s)

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [BUILD]

man, my performance in the last BRC and now this one have me wondering how I was so lucky in 1945 :P

Hopefully going to nail down the last of my changes to submit tomorrow.... also going to try a different pit strat.... maybe, looking forward to the trump cards to see if they capture my car well :)

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [BUILD]

anyone mind helping me submit my car again?
a different car.

just finished watching.

got something interesting, i think because of the rain, i carried too much fuel at the start. so when i pitted i didn't refuel at all even and even finished the race with almost 5 laps worth of fuel to spare, maybe more.

also that rain at the end is a godsend for me:) since i went no inters, i was on wets the entire race and was chasing every one like a grim reaper :P i think i made up 7 places in the last 5-6 minutes of the race?

Exactly. In the beginning I wanted to look who requested a number first, but then, with so many entries and revisions, I just gave up.

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [BUILD]

Yep... this car will not go under 2:20:65 on ATT no matter what, even -1.5 / -1.5 camber only gets me to about 2:20:20.... O well.
I think I figured out something that will help my car, plus changed up my pits now that I know I have to lug around the fuel that gets me to the next pit, so I should be carrying 20kg less fuel (faster laps and faster pit.... hopefully)
Looking forward to the real races, hopefully we get some quality commentary like last season.

Added a poll: decide if the scoring system should be changed because of many entries.

I think that having 30 cars scoring points due to the amount of entry's is a great idea.
