So I did what Riso said, and I found some weird thing, long mid AWD, while the car is traverse mid RWD

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [BUILD]

The BRC tool has taken the WRONG car....... nothing is correct, body, suspension, driveline.

RERUN THE ENTIRE RACE!

And the tool cannot handle writing; RobtheFiend, ends up as " obthe iend" with double spaces instead of R and F.

Edit: Is it just the description in the export file that is wrong? Is the car ok?
If not, this was the car the tool exported;

Not quite the same.

ROFL. Wow. That's pretty amazing.

I had better check which car mine exported when I get home for work. In the end, it performed OK in the race, but I have no idea if it's the one I think it is!

Also how did the file manage an AWD in 1966???

4x4 not AWD, same in my file.

Edit: Oops, saw now that it said AWD in his file. Probably took the settings from a car much newer.

If that is the car that was exported then you still did quite well in the test race.

My car ended up being a full 2.5 seconds slower in BRC then the Automation tests. A difference from qualifying 3rd to qualifying 24th.

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [BUILD]

430 hp / 1680 kg = 0.256 power/weight, close. :D :D :D

But i think i saw my car shift to 5:th gear in the race, the "SUV" has only 4 gears, weird.

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [BUILD]

My car ended up being almost 4 sec slower in qualifying than Automation but it was still a good race. I noticed that a lot of cars, including me, started with a third of a tank. Is this because we had only what we needed to get to our first scheduled pitstop? Anyways, thank you Der Bayer for doing this, every time I participate in these events I learn something new about Automation.

My Qualifying time is 4 seconds slower than the Automation Test Track time in the game, but I am supprised to see that my Solid Axle car did not place last.

Much more fuel? 35-45 kg extra is a lot on cars around 1000kg.

Well, actually I was quite a bit faster with the fuel load of 47kg. in the 10-lap I was running2:23's while in qualifying I ran a 2:25. In Automation it runs 2:21.xx.

Here you go koolkei.

Very interesting race. I did well overall (16th place), but was still about 2s off of the leader pace. Not taking tires during refuel cost me any chance of position climbing in the 2nd half of the race as they were getting quite worn by lap 25, costing me even more time losses. Economy isn't a strong suit for the motor, but the suspension handles quite well I think!

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [BUILD]

Ok, that was interesting. My car received a lot of damage mostly due to driver error. At one point it had 25% damage.

Does overall car damage also impact engine failure. About 1 lap later my car was out due to that it seems or is this not correlated at all?

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [BUILD]

Ok, I just saw all the videos. My personal summary of them:

PROS
- No driver errors
- no damage
- only one more pit than I predicted
- my lap times between the dry & wet are rather close
- I wasn't last

CONS
- I'm big slow (what a shocker)
- I need a lot of fuel

Question for D.B. Cooper, AKA Der Bayer: can I redo my car or is it to late?

Deadline has not been announced yet, so we are still in testing phase. Per the rules in the first post, as with all previous BRC seasons, re-submissions are allowed until the deadline has been reached.
