The race video is now being uploaded. Please post in this thread if you don't understand a pit stop or tyre choice or whatever was wrong in your opinion. Bugs still can be there, please help finding them.

i think you need to make FAQ about the race mechanics in general and put a link on first page so everyone doesnt need to dig this thread

IMO your guideline notepad in the zip also feels not cover anything that really vital like i just realized if the fuel/tyre wear/damage system is from 0 to 100 not 100 to 0 when watching your video since im literally first timer and never seen BRC race session before, and like so does how the tyre choice work that you just explained few days ago considering people will jump into semi-slicks pretty much

same here, my car also appear 3 sec slower than i expect. i kinda wonder if the randomised simulation affect time overall or just when the driver make error?

Well... either I sent in the wrong car... or the new system is more then two seconds slower then the Automation times.

That's why we have the pre-season tests. I do agree that it has become hard to understand what is going on exactly.

I'll try to collect all information in the first post soon. There are some smaller issues where very few cars turn out to be slower than in Automation. It is good that you point it out, strop, so I can take a closer look. If anyone else thinks he is a lot slower than expected please let me know.

Much more fuel? 35-45 kg extra is a lot on cars around 1000kg.

Wow, that was an emotional rollercoaster from the beginning right until my engine blew up! And i was in 6th... Well, hopefully, it'll polish out.
Will second what several others have said though, big difference between automation time and race time, but im assuming that was general for all since we did not see any of the close to 2.20 times that are possible in this format in the game (2.21.05 on my car in this race). Anyhow, great experience, love the effort you have put into this and was extra fun having that back and forth battle with you Bayer until my engine went poof

I finished in the points (just)! I'll be honest, I was expecting stone dead last .

My car during qualifying was roughly 1.5 seconds slower than in Automation, not to mention that in Automation it's timed from standing still. But I think everybody had slower times than in Automation, so yeah.

7th during pre-season race, not bad.

Der Bayer, from the race I guess that tyre wear does not influence the understeer/oversteer balance?

Welp I'm very happy, 10 ten! (Thats as good as a win for me =) ) I do have a faster less reliant on tyre-wear version of my car coming (I've already made changes to it) and I'll have to make some stratigy changes.

4 seconds a lap slower then my own testruns on the Automation Track. I Knew my tyre wear was bad, but the slow laptimes wasn't what I expected.

My top time in race is pretty much what I see in game. Practice was a solid second down and qualifying was half a second slower again.

It looks like a lot of people could actually make it without a stop at all. Low tyre wear pre-rain and low total fuel consumption but that's probably because of the weather.


For anyone who sees abnormally slow times I'd suggest to open the files the brc tool creates and look at the names for the trim and model. At least I had some weird thing originally where it picked wrong body etc.
