Re: AMWEC '15 [next race january 3rd]

Only for this race... I checked the other spreadsheets and only this one has that issue.

Re: AMWEC '15 [5th race results]

Ah, that makes much more sense! Nice one on the best result yet koolkei :P

I'll go fix my own spreadsheet come the next race.

Okay, so this means the standouts were:

  • echo0o's AGTE car which had a horror run to finish 29th, well below its usual
  • doctornarfy's AP2 car which had by far its best result to place 9th and land on the AP2 podium for the first time
  • koolkei's AP2 car, which also had its best result, to place 7th and also land on the AP2 podium for the first time
What's really curious about this is that DoctorNarfy's AP2 car runs on hard tyres. koolkei's AP2 car is an FR (EDIT: without a turbo) and the car itself is more on par with the AGTE cars in terms of outputs. The AGTE cars as a class also performed on average significantly worse than they normally do, too. So at first I thought this was due to the track favouring lighter cars that corner better, but then along comes a few counterexamples. Unless koolkei and DoctorNarfy just got really lucky and had far fewer incidents than average? That seemed to count for a lot, given the happenings of the hourly updates.

Re: AMWEC '15 [5th race results]

^ a fix. my AP2 car is the only FR on the class. but it's running on a NA 5l V8. the AP1 is the one running on boost.(wait.... is this the other way around?)

maybe the hourly release does matter...

although when building the car, i aimed for higher reliability not higher drivability. for when i get a minor accident, i can take a lot more accidents and keep going. which is not going well for me.

Re: AMWEC '15 [5th race results]

In the OP after race 5 Im running still with 179 points both in AP1 and overall, while my AGTE result should add 30-ish points to my overall :)

I wouldn't be expecting a great commentary either. I'm busy for most of the upcoming week.

That's possibly the most beautiful poster yet.
