Re: AMWEC '15 [Next race december 20th + AGTE GUIDE]

Prima 1 the outstanding mover from the previous qualifying, going from the tail end to the top end of the order!

The Zeus GT is still qualifying second to the Sepang as usual!!!

Re: AMWEC '15 [3rd race results!]

 Fastest lap? I was not expecting that.

Nor was I expecting Sepang not to be the fastest AP1 car. Nor was I expecting an AP2 car to be second! In fact everything's kind of turned on its head. The only thing that's not surprising about these results is the very top and the very bottom (sorry, Vri404!).

Re: AMWEC '15 [Next race december 20th + AGTE GUIDE]

I knew this would happen some time :) A Single extra accident and i'm out of the lead running, and with the driveability being a problem it was only a matter of time. I had people breathing down my neck as is, in the previous race.

P.S: Sepang IS the fastest AP1 car, Strop :) It just didn't finish so good :P
Anyways, nice job, Sillyworld.

Re: AMWEC '15 [3rd race results!]

I felt the need to tabulate the results comprehensively to better understand how the rankings moved this way and that. Having my own Excel table makes it much easier to reorganise from various perspectives using the Custom Sort function. Here are the three races so far sorted first by class and secondarily by result.

EDIT: Now sorted by overall ranking in class. Now you can see which cars have been moving around the rankings more than others. Maybe it's to do with consistency... it remains to be seen how the length of the races affects each car!

Wooohoooo best performing AP1 :D wasn't expecting that. I really like the way standings shuffle every race!

Having all 3 cars in top ten makes me proud :)
Interesting is that the most powerful car in AMWEC Alpha did really well on technical circuit.

Re: AMWEC '15 [3rd race results!]

I think I might have created a good car to run in AMWEC next year, but I have absolutely no idea how it will compete with the rule changes and everybody making new cars. I think mid-pack competitiveness maybe? At least I hope.

BTW I created an AP1 car.

6 Hours of The Americas Review Brought to you by HP Oils.

You can see the overall results here --> viewtopic.php?f=39&t=8291&p=91173#p91173
And the score for each title in the OP.

The last event had unexpected results! As said earlier, the track was longer and more technical than the last circuit, but the results were beyond unexpected.
In first place, the All-mighty Zeus with 159 laps and only 5 laps behind the Prima. Yes, that's correct, a AP2 in second place. And followed by only 2 minutes, the Alpha. A lap later the Exilus and a few seconds later the Sepang. The guys at Pragata Motorsport and Smooth Racing must be really happy, as 2 and 3 of their cars ended in the top 10. But there were not only good news for them, also the Exilus took 2nd place in the AGTE Championship score. And Komodo Motors finished in better place overall.
That means, of course, that other teams had a very bad weekend, as Meliora Automotive, Scirocco Racing and Kraft Haus Technik. Now that the Sepang ended in 5th place, the gap in the World Endurance Championship Score between the Sepang and the Zeus is now greater.

The next race will be at Sebring Internationl Speedway, a track famous for being really hard on the cars, due to their flat track and concrete track parts. Warapping up, concratulation to the winning teams we'll see us in the next race, cheers!

If you want to check the spreadsheets --> https://www.dropbox.com/sh/vqye2r5pctm5 ... -NYoa?dl=0
just remember to allow circular references/iterative calculations

Some figures:
  • Even though the Sepang had the fastest qualification time, the Zeus finally got the fastest lap in the race.
  • The Prima covered 849 kms, the Zeus did 876.56 and the Sepang 843.48
  • The Prima did 5 pitstops, 3 for minor accidents that needed repair and 2 for refueling and change tires. The Sepang did 7 pitstops, 2 for refueling and changing tires as well, but 5 for repairing.
  • It's rumored that Mark Webber is the racing pilot behind the Zeus GT Spec.
