Re: AMWEC '15 [REVISION STAGE + LOOKING FOR SPONSORS]

If you open the version on the open beta, it will go to the new calculations and it can't revert back, that was my mistake.

Re: AMWEC '15 [REVISION STAGE + LOOKING FOR SPONSORS]

Oops, I didn't realise that. I assume the same of closed beta?

Making a presentation will be difficult for Norman and I!

(But I was quite pleased with my drivability hehe)

Don't worry, I'll do a video later today explaining that.
I'm sorry, but I couldn't make the video today, I was quite bussy and then my computer got a severe case of viruses-that-won't-let-you-do-shit. Maybe next wednesday, along with the new version of the spreadsheet. Still the same calculations, just minor probability for accidents and pit stops.

Considering this is my first competition build, I'm pretty certain you will when you rear end me while lapping it. :D

Re: AMWEC '15 [1st race December 6th + LOOKING FOR SPONSORS]

I know a while ago I set myself for the pretest group so I assume that we are on different metrics now. It is really not worth the small tweak I was going to do on the car to take a chance of knocking it all out of whack.

Re: AMWEC '15 [1st race December 6th + LOOKING FOR SPONSORS]

The first race is near! :o

Anyways, I updated the OP to include a new scoring system and a new version of the spreadsheet. Check this video on how to use it https://youtu.be/x7SbDJBe_A4 (sorry for my english but I'm quite sick and I was really tired at that moment).
Now there is no major accident, mainly because I was not happy on how to calculate those, and I didnt came up with a new solution. Also, less pit stops and less minor accidents as well.

I was about to post some data and minor reviews of the competitors, but I don't think I can do it for all the cars before the first race, but we'll see.

Cant wait to see some action!
Sillyworld you are doing awesome work, thank you for the video. Now that I know how the spredsheet works it is shame we no longer can revise cars... but anyway, looking forward to Sunday.

If there is no mayor accident and no way not to finish the race, then why give everyone who finishes a point (or half or two...)?

And now, I brought to you, the AMWEC '15 Spotter Guide :D
This is for the cars in the AP1 Class. AP2 and AGTE will be published later.

Re: AMWEC '15 [1st race December 6th + AP1 SPOTTER GUIDE]

I'm surprized that only one team is running the soft tyres, I thought that more people would go for lap time over tyre life.

Re: AMWEC '15 [1st race December 6th + AP1 SPOTTER GUIDE]

^no you're not. there's 2 team on soft tyres

4 front engined car : 10 mid/rear engined
i'm the only car that's in the 600ish HP range.... everyone else is either <600 or >700

and im the only one without fixtures...... because i thought "why would purpose built race cars have headlights? we have the tracks lighted up for us"
turns out im the only one thinking that way   also stock rims because aerodynamics, minimizing wheel well drag:) who am i kidding, i forgot to change that

maybe a typo ... or i misnamed my car..... i meant 'SilveRun' with a single 'R' not double. and it's komodo motors, not cars. dunno how i missed that this long, but too late to change

i'm guessing the most powerful car have a weight of around 1445kgs
