Hard to say really, the business side is very much in the design stages right now - if you have any paticular questions about I can at least tell you what we're planning so far :)

Kinda hard to explain, but broadly:

The world will be divided up into different regions, each with different buyer preferences, regulations, costs etc.

You'll start factories in regions, build research facilities, dealerships etc.

Buyer preferences etc. will change over time.

It's kinda hard to explain that whole side of the game as I don't even know where to start ;)

i hope some sort of brand awareness is factored in or it'll be hard to run a buggati or pgani style car company where your only selling a few cars a year at a high price

Yep. Your brand as as well as each model will have Reputation (how good is it) and Prestege (how fancy is it). Among other things, prestege will be lowered by low prices and high sales volumes, encouraging limited editions and high prices (if you're trying to make prestege cars)

Re: What's in the business side of Automation?

One thing I have actually been wondering abut, I assume that scenarios like what we have now are in the game just for something to do and wont make it into the final game? (or be related to the main mode at least.) I say this because I am looking to make a company like Ferrari/Lamborghini/Pagani where all we make are performance cars. Will that be possible, to make a company that does nothihng but make high end cars (and support a motorsport division if such a thing makes it into the game)? Or will I be forced to flood the planet with Carollas, (mis-spelling intentional :P) being harassed to make 4 cly ecno box engines for beige cars to help keep us afloat and prevent us from going bankrupt?

Oh the Scenarios will make it into the final game but just be a little diversion for when you just want to play for 20mins. But yes you could run a company that entirely makes vans or supercars or whatever you like really

What I have read is that the demo is now only making good engines, after a while there will be a business side of the game, like a campain or sandboxmode.

Could I just say this? I hate how some games classify some countries.
Some examples classify Peninsular Malaysia as an extension of Thailand and the whole island of Borneo as a part of Indonesia.
Keep this in mind, please. Rant over.

Now I suggested sub companies a while ago, and I hope this also happens. *cough* Minor bankruptcy *cough*

Some stuff is going to get grouped together mearly on the basis of being close by and not warranting being its own region, for example no one is really going to want to run a car company in Borneo as one region, and similarly no one would want to run a car company in just Ireland, so it'll probably go in with the rest of Great Britain
