Re: Your Imaginary Car Manufacture Showcase

(I'll add car pics to the "Famous cars" once I can make some in the game)
Name: Kanban
Country of origin: Japan
World Markets: Japan, United States, Mexico, Europe, Australia
Founder: Isuzi Kanban
Owner: Mikayli Kanban
Active since: 1921-Present
HQ: Hiroshima, Japan
Slogan: "Boldness. Performance. Innovation."
Most famous cars:

1940 Kanban QZ-1L:
The 1940 QZ-1L was a rear-engined, 4 door hatchback, concieved by many as an economic daily driver. It was the first car built by Kanban to be sold outside of Japan, and was rated #1 in Australia by numerous critics. It featured a 72 bhp Inline 3 engine capable of reaching a top speed of 83 mph with a 4-speed manual transmission, and could turn at 1.3 g's at 64 mph. An estimated 69,820 units were sold. Production ended in 1943 after new car regulations were put in place.

1955 Kanban Ri-De
The 1955 Kanban Ri-De was the first car by Kanban to be exclusive to Europe and the United States. It was built in Kanban's first foreign plant located in Chicago. Designed in cooperation with Toyota, the Ri-De featured a 102 bhp rear mounted Inline 5 engine (unique for it's time), and a 3-speed manual transmission allowing for an estimated top speed of 104 mph. An estimated 199,142 units were produced. Production ended in 1964.

1994 Kanban/Toyota Panorama
The 1994 Kanban/Toyota Panorama was an executive car produced by Kanban and Toyota. It was sold in Japan as the Panorama, and in the United states it was sold as the Scene. It was a sporty 4 door sedan with a front mounted, V6 engine capable of producing 206 bhp. Included was a 5-speed automatic/6-speed optional manual, allowing for speeds up to 140 mph. An estimated 420,000 units were produced and or sold, with production ending in 2007. It remains one of Kanban's longest running car models.

2001 Kanban Ech-0
The 2001 Kanban Ech-0 was Kanban's first hybrid vehicle. At it's release, it's technology rivaled the Honda Insight and the Toyota Prius. It got an estimated 60/81 mpg thanks to it's 80 bhp, 15 kilowatt engine. It was known to reach 60 mph in less then 5 seconds. It was a 4 door crossover and provided large cargo space and was well recieved by consumers; and it was light and agile, having a curb weight of only 1,990 lbs, it was the lightest in it's class. Production ended in 2009 and an estimated 265,000 units were sold, thanks to it's below average cost of about $22,000. It was succeded by the Ech-o1, which incorperates electric, hydrogen, and gasoline power to it's 1.4L, 21 kilowatt powerplant. Both cars received numerous awards and recognition for their low output of Co2 gases.

2013 Kanban/Subaru/Toyota Strive
The Strive was one of the first models to be co-produced between Kanban, Subaru, and Toyota. Seeing Subaru and Toyota create the new FR-S, BR-Z, and GT-86, Kanban needed a new design plan for it's cars. The Strive (sold with same name in all markets) is a combination of all three manufacturers; it combines AWD technology, high-tech interior settings, and a performance engine. Under the hood is either a 2.0T Boxer-4 engine that makes 197 bhp, or a 2.6L Boxer-6 engine producing 274 bhp, and it is located on the rear quadrant of the car. It uses a 7-speed sport-tronic transmission to help it reach a top speed of *155 mph. It can reach 60 mph in about 3.9 seconds thanks to it's AWD "50/50" drivetrain. Production began in 2012 and it has currently sold more then 24,000 units. The base price for the 2.0T is $19,920. The 2.6L costs $24,950 and features adaptive HD headlamps, heated leather seats, and a panoramic sunroof.

Re: Your Imaginary Car Manufacture Showcase

Manufacturer Name: Sporran Custom Coachworks
Country of origin: Scotland
World Markets: U.K., Europe, Japan, United States, Australia
Founder: An anonymous benefactor
Active since: 1762 (buggies and carriages) - 1899 (motorcars) - Present day
HQ: Edinburgh, Scotland
Slogan: "Touch not a cat bot a glove."

Most famous cars:
1906 Sporran Advocate - This model helped put Sporran Custom Coachworks in the limelight as one of the innovative powerhouses of its day. The Sporran Advocate was both ahead of its time and behind the times at the same time! This four-door sedan was based on the Rambler touring car (imported from the USA), but with an in-house designed steam engine, producing in excess of 50HP! In 1910 the Sporran attempted the land-speed record in a modified Advocate, and was on the way to beat the record when unexpected engine trouble caused the vehicle to explode violently. This lead to a very sharp decline in sales, and it took many years before Sporran could reclaim its reputation.

1941 Sporran Fleg Tank - The Sporran Fleg Tank was actually a light truck that had all of its body panels replaced with thick armour, and a small cannon installed into the rear-tray area. This was actually a top-secret development project in conjunction with the UK Ministry of Defence, and has only recently been de-classified. About 50 of these vehicles were secretly deployed in France over the years 1943-1944, as part of an operation with the resistance movement to destabilise the area before D-Day.

1962 Sporran Stoat Roadster - The Sporran Stoat Roadster was the catalyst for a renaissance period for Sporran Custom Coachworks. This small, lightweight roadster was released almost simultaneously with the Lotus Elan, and although they appeared mechanically and physically similar, the Stoat Roadster was actually the more advanced of the two. Powered by a 3-cylinder twin-cam 1.2L engine, the Stoat's powerplant was based off a completely new design (compared to the Lotus, which was based on Ford's Pre-Cross-flow 1500cc engine). Delivering around 95 BHP and 95 Nm, it could accelerate the 750kg roadster from 0-100 km/h in just over 8 seconds.

1974 Sporran Creatur- The Creatur was Sporran's venture into the world of muscle-cars. This creature was powered by several of Sporran's engines, including the largest engine that they had ever produced. The top of the range model was limited to only 50 vehicles, and was powered by a massive 14L V8 that produced an amazing 650HP and 800Nm. This model was so powerful and handled so well, that it was entered into (and won) several racing categories unmodified!

1978 Sporran Brigadoonery - Realising that the market for premium luxury cars (such as the Aston Martin Lagonda and the Mercedes Benz 450SEL 6.9) was one that they had not tackled yet, Sporran developed and released the Brigadoonery to much pomp and fanfare. This vehicle was fitted with every luxury item that Sporran could get their hands on, and state-of-the-art technology and engineering processes used to make this flagship model the pride of Scotland. Powered by a supercharged 8L V12, it had plenty of power and torque to move this 2200kg saloon much faster than expected, and was known to catch quite a few chauffeurs by surprise!

1982 Sporran Barmkin - 1982 started with a bang for Sporran Custom Coachworks, as they released their first turbocharged car for the masses. After many years of development by passionate engineers in their spare time, the Barmkin was a car for enthusiasts. When most of the development work was completed, the concept was presented to senior management at Sporran, and they finally decided to officially condone the development of an entry-level sports car based on this design. The Sporan Barmkin was a small 2-door, 4-seater coupe, powered by a supercharged 2L flat-6, and came in both RWD and AWD models.

2004 Sporran Dirk X1 - Built mainly for the Japanese market, the Sporran Dirk X1 was marketed at those that wanted to express their individuality. With a turbocharged 5-cylinder engine situated above & driving the rear-wheels, it created a new and unique cross-breed between a functional family sedan and an all-out racer. Rumours are starting to spread that a replacement model is on its way, built with the intent to take on the big players in the WRC.

Manufacturer Name: Uppsåtlig Billar AB "UBAB" (Strange Cars Inc)
Country of origin: Sweden
World Markets: Europe, USA, UK, Australia
Founder: Henrik Vanger
CEO: Hans-Erik Wennerström (yes, I read a few books in my vacation)
Active since: 1947
HQ: Trollhättan, Sweden
Slogan: "En bil som en stråle (A car like a jet fighter)"

Most famous cars:
UBAB Turbo 1979-present
Built like a tank, the looks of an air plane, the power of a jet fighter and the safety of a brick-like competitor. The UBAB Turbo has it all. Unlike it's main rival, UBAB never sold itself out to GM. They continued to build their original design and improved it over the years. This has resulted in a car unlike any other. Strange in every way, a bit expensive to buy and maintain, but a pleasure to drive. Not to mention the fact it's one of the great Turbocharger pioneers!

Re: Your Imaginary Car Manufacture Showcase

Manufacturer Name: French Racing Engineering (FRE)
Headquarter: Paris, France
Founder: Nicholas Bellerose
CEO: Diodore Bellerose (Great Grandson of the founder)
Found in: 1928
Slogan: Passion for Handling
History: Nicholas Bellerose who at the time was a businessman in Metalwork company. Being an enthusiast he decided to make his own sport coupe by using his own design of Body and Chassis powered by 1923 Killrob AG 2.8 Inline 6 engine found in a junkyard but it was very smooth and produce shedload of powah. The result was a car that handle like a dream because of properly designed suspension. So Nicholas decided to found another company to make a car in 1928, Company name was taken from the fact that his first car go on racing in many many events. His company working independently to produce both cars and engines. Up until 1965 when the company start to lack of a cheap car to make money. They went to Conan Coachwork because Nicholas discovered a brand new Conan Hatch on a trip in England and he fell in love with a car. But to keep luxurious people who are the main customer happy. Puny 2 Litre Inline 4 Conan engine get thrown away and FRE designed a new 2.8 Litre Inline 4 smooooooooth and powwwaaaaahful to put in this car and for even smoother ride they designed a bespoke rear double wishbone. Ever since FRE is the people who produce a luxurious version of a Conan Hatch. Although they also produce their own bespoke products.
Most famous cars:

FRE Hatchback Series (1965-)
Ever since the 1965 FRE get a Conan Hatch and then replace the engine with their own big powerful engine, Change the rear suspension from McPherson Strut to a Double Wishbone system, Interior is also trimmed luxuriously with all Leather and real wood. And also bespoke body (Not a single bodyparts can be share with Conan Hatch). It's basically a luxury version of a Conan Hatch and every time Conan replace their Conan Hatch, FRE will update their car as well. FRE offered Hatchback Series in many different engine the whole range. And once every several generation they make a whole new engine.

Name system used from 1965 to now is FRE (Size of the engine e.g. 2800)HS

2.8 Inline 4 (1965-)
3.0 Inline 5 (1973-)
3.5 V6 (1990-1998)
3.8 V8 (1973-1990)
4.2 V8 (1990-)

so you can get it from the cheapest trim FRE 2800HS up to FRE 4200HS

FRE Coupe Series (1928-)

One of the longest running nameplate in the world. FRE Coupe Series. Design to be the perfect sport coupe for anyone who has much taste in car. The recipe has always been the same Front engine Rear wheel drive layout with all round double wishbone suspension and the big lump of Inline 6 up to V12 at the front. The car offer so much of both smoothness and handling preciseness, And the power the engine is immense. Like the top of the range in 1990-1996 5 Litre V12 actually got the title for highest horsepower per displacement for any none forced induction internal combustion engine at 572hp. Beat that Jaguar XJS!

FRE offer many many different engines over the period of 84 years. But the best are always big V12.
