That impact from DerBayer slowed my car down a lot in the second race. :(

Huge number of collisions, here - number and severity of track incidents seem way up from 1945.

Curses ! On each race, my car got involved in a crash that ruined it's pace (it even held up a train on the first race)... I think my driver needs a talk.
Caution : exhibits bias towards high-reving NA engines.

Well, seems like my driver is incapable of passing.

Hmm - it just occurred to me: if Sportiness is based on raw power more than power-to-weight ratio, that might penalize heavier cars in driveability.

Re: BRC 1955 - The Golden Age [Qualifying 1]

I'm really pleased with that finish. Qualified 26th, finished 25th and finished 14th in the second race. I managed to pass 3 cars in the last 3 minutes. Unfortunate that I crashed both times. I'm looking forward to the next race.
I guess the next one will be next week or something?

Very exciting racing. Relatively pleased with my result too, assuming AT isn't my car's strong suit (but judging by the rest of the top 8, it's going to be a tough field, so I don't know!) Not finding the sweet spot for cornering grip is hurting podium chances!

Re: BRC 1955 - The Golden Age [Qualifying 1]

Congrats CW, that was a really good win. And Matt! That car! I want make love with it ;p

Seriously though, lost a lot of points with the error in race 2. But 2nd overall is better than I was expecting, so really happy. Lots of moving to be done in the points table, a few quicker guys had some really bad luck.

Also who gave KillRob Plutonium? We have talk about this haha

Sorry I missed the race, then know it was on.

Edit: Packbat, you were really good to have on, thank you!

Re: BRC 1955 - The Golden Age [Qualifying 1]

Glad to be of service! Although I'm not sure I want to volunteer again if I can avoid it - it's much harder to keep track of what's going on when you have to watch the whole field, not just your own car.

I wonder if it would be possible to add position-change indicators for future BROBOT race seasons. Perhaps a ^ next to cars that recently gained a position, a v next to cars that recently lost one, and both next to cars that passed and were passed. It'd make it a lot easier to see the effects of errors, collisions, and engine failures.

Definitely, I'm currently porting the simulation to Löve2D, then it will be possible.
