Okay not bad, given I'm gunning for the best possible result. I don't expect a podium this session, but a healthy swag of points will be a nice change from the last season! :P

Whelp - I subscribed to something on the Steam Workshop and it updated my game. So no more 1955-build reviews from this quarter. :oops:

Ah, you know what. I'm quite happy with that. Not too far back. Right on Leo's tail. Just need a bit of luck from season one now :D

Mer_at is a bit of a threat there. Low fuel use and good tyre wear.

Packbat wrote:Oh, I think I see the confusion - your lap-ten time wasn't 1:48.24, it was 148.24 seconds = 2:28.24. In a twenty laps I might catch you (my lap-ten time was 2:28.40), but this is only going to be thirteen laps ... which means I don't have a chance.

haha yep, you're right. I keep forgetting BROBOT doesn't calculate m:s.xx, but sss.xx instead, like Automation used to do (and still does on sector times). Still, in 10 laps I degraded 6-7 seconds on laptims without much error or any damage. And the faster cars were far better on fuel economy than mine (obviously), so my times will be the same in the race, while most everybody else will increase in times due to lower fuel weights.

I'll only be dropping about five kilos, I think - I can't imagine that'll be worth a full second a lap.

We won't see until the race, but if I were making odds, you'd be the heavy favorite against me for this one. :)

Re: BRC 1955 - The Golden Age [Qualifying 1]

Whoa I just realized I didn't thank Packbat for the review so ... thanks ! It's pretty much spot-on.
About the engine : iirc I made it before I heard of the safety glitch then I detuned it afterwards.
For the gearbox, I could indeed have increased the spacing for a better 0-100 km/h but the test track time was slightly slower as a result.
And for the aero quality it seemed to only have a marginal benefit compared to gearbox and brakes quality so yes I didn't really bothered with it.

Also, from what I noted at the training and the qualifications, it seems the fastest non Sprite-body car is Dobble...with the 40s sedan. Not that obsolete huh ? :lol:
Caution : exhibits bias towards high-reving NA engines.

@pHanta: You're welcome!

And yeah, the 40s sedan did pretty well - be interesting to look to see if it can keep up the performance for 1965, too. :D

Ok, I'm in the 3 starting grid. 5th position. Not bad, let's see how the race goes.
