Re: Open Beta (B150619+) Bug Reports

On many of my cars that I had previously saved, I keep on getting this recurring message...

---------------------------
Lua Error:
---------------------------
tolua++ dbcall failed!: [string "--client\functional\CarView.lua..."]:2963: attempt to index local 'headLightInfo' (a nil value)

You can CTRL+C on this to report it.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

And then the car appears without badges, some missing vents, handles, and other stuff. Any help?

Re: Open Beta (B150619+) Bug Reports

I am finding that sometimes with very powerful/ridiculously over the top cars that I get an error where the game just won't calculate its acceleration and hence various other stats (and also the track simulation). Sometimes it chucks back an error but more often it would just not calculate the various stats (they're listed as N/A in the summary page) and if you try to run the track simulation, the cars would run at a constant 40km/h along the track.

I've attached the 2 cars' files which this has happened with:

- One is a mid engined car with around 1600bhp on super wide tires
- The second one is a RWD SUV with 2800bhp+ on skinny tires

I hope this bug is a relatively minor/quick fix.

Thank you

Go to the first tab, select the frame options, go to engine, go to the end options (the last tab), and go to the trim options (first tab of fixtures, not the second).

All vanilla items used? No mods?

Thanks a lot for posting the cars! We'll look into that.

Re: Open Beta (B150619+) Bug Reports

Found a bug where if working on a variant in a future year, using hold then revert will also revert the year back to the year of the base trim.

To clarify, Create an engine and trim in say 1955. Copy this trim then move the date forward to 1976 (or whenever) then keep working on it. At some point use hold and revert and notice that the year has changed back to 1955. Is most obvious if the new trim uses premium fuel or higher as it starts knocking on the reversion.

Edit: also another this time LUA error.

---------------------------
Lua Error:
---------------------------
Step() failed!: [string "--shared\functional\SANDBOX_DATA\CCarCalculat..."]:81: [string "--shared\functional\SANDBOX_DATA\CCarCalculat..."]:278: attempt to compare number with nil

Appears to be related to running extreme tyre profiles as tyre Oversterr/understeer graph was missing.

Re: Open Beta (B150619+) Bug Reports

I think there is a Size Issue with V6 on B150626

I build a small car that can take a 950cc V8 Turbo
but not a V6 bigger than 885cc :?:

I have dumped a Car export as an example.

Re: Open Beta (B150619+) Bug Reports

No need for analysis :)

Usually if fixtures aren't creating holes (commonly referred to as "stamping"), Andy just needs to know the body and what area causes problems.

I would assume that your pic is the 50s Jag?

Yeah, all my problems have been found on the 50's Jag atm. For the record, who's Andy so I can PM him directly in future? :)

That's daffyflyer :) but he usually doesn't read his PM regularly so posting stuff like this here is the best option.

Re: Open Beta (B150619+) Bug Reports

I'm finding some weird behaviours with the year labels and buttons in the top banner.

Example: I made a car model template set in 1955 and had 3 trim levels originally set in the same year. Then I decided to put out a sport trim level 3 years later (1958) and a race trim level 2 years after the sport trim (1960).

Weird thing 1: When I was trying to create the sport and race trim, the year button would go up or down the years in multiples of 2 years, not 1. Also, the decade button would go up in multiples of 20 years, not 10 years.
Weird thing 2: When I load the sport or race trim levels, the little label next to the trim reads the template year ('55) rather than the trim year ('58 or '60)

No error messages or anything though

Would be great if the devs can look into this for the next little update

Re: Open Beta (B150619+) Bug Reports

Keep running into this when I'm trying to load in previously created vehicles.

Vanilla, vehicle created in build 150627.. Any ideas?
