Issues with adding different Trims to a model.

i got a screen shot of an error that would repeatedly come up until the game eventually crashes. it only happens when i try to make a new Trim for a car model. its in Sandbox mode. dont know what can be done about it but i figured i would make i known to Devs and community because someone else may be going through this or has solved it and can give me advice. (by the way i hit CTRL+C but nothing happend as far as i could tell. but im new to this "beta" thing ...)

When exactly do you press "new trim", from where do you press it to cause that error? Is this the case when your first model trim is fully built already, or not?

yes its a Steam purchase. and yes it was after i finished the build, i wanted to do a "sport" version of that model. i just deleted the "error" version and made it again from scratch with same name but different trim name lol.

i tried to recreate the error and think i found something out, it only does that error when i do not use the copy function. if i finish the build then click the add new trim without hitting the copy button it does that error but if i hit the copy button then it doesnt have the error...

I've seen that error too, I just use the clone function for all my new trims.

i do too now, it works great! but i thought the Devs would like to know about it to fix it for the full release or next update/patch. and i know the community is full of modders and other progamers that may have known a "quick" fix.

This may be a stupid question but, I never noticed a clone function or copy or anything while playing the game. What is it?

Re: Issues with adding different Trims to a model.

When in the car/engine designer, in the top bar.

The second drop-down menu from the left is for trims. If you click on the arrow it should show all the trims that you have. In that list, you should also see a button with two cars next to each trim, if you click on that button it will create a clone of that trim.
