Well, I've no problem with anybody scrutinising my car!

At the bottom of the list are three flatplane V8s: NormanVauxhall's and mattmr2's with 13.13 hp/cyl and Absurdist's with 13.25. For the other engine types, we have CWRules's crossplane V8 making 15.75 hp/cyl, GenJeFT's inline-six making 21.5 hp/cyl, and BlastersPewPew's inline-four making 27.25 hp/cyl.

Crossplane V8? Must have been a saving bug, I thought I used a flatplane. Oh well.

When I was making my final revisions, I was paranoiacally hitting the "Test" button on the engine and flipping to the stats summary page on the trim every time I made a change, hoping it would make sure the changes saved.

Preview-Edit: ...wow, two comments drop while I'm typing and I'm still fitting to the context. Seconding the hope that saving bugs are fixed soon.

Edit: if CWRules's engine is actually a flatplane, then victorgarcia's car replaces it with 15.88 hp/cyl. The field is pretty tight at that end of the horsepower spectrum.

@Der Bayer: Thanks for the heads-up! Do you think it will be the kind of brief overviews that we saw in the last season between race heats? I don't know what GenJeFT was planning, but my own natural inclination is towards pretty numbers-heavy analysis - there might not be a huge overlap in terms of what we're doing.

I don't know exactly what they have planned. But it will be some time until then because pyrlix and me are busy, so if you want to do something in-depth I can share the car files.

That would be neat! I don't want to talk publicly about the hidden details of any specific car in detail without permission, but having a chance to look at the full set would allow me (and GenJeFT, if they so choose) to talk about trends in the entire field.

(Oh, by the way: did you get AshleyBlack's note about fixing the file-save errors in [edit: his] .lua files?)
