The tricky thing about the unrestricted costs is that I have *no* idea what a reasonable price is, and therefore, what comfort and prestige is. I don't know how to tailor my car for this challenge. Do I favour the comfort and prestige and go for handmade everything, or do I go for 'just a touch' of class?

Either way, also have a turbo i6 which makes NO sense whatsoever in this car just because

p.s. just read what you guys are doing with your engines. Turns out TUBRO makes more sense than I initially thought, if mating a turbo to a 3 speed auto made any kind of sense in 1978 ROFL.

I have Luxury interior, Luxury 8-track and Standard Safety, a 172hp SOHC 3.0 i6, in a 1200kg, $9500 package. I'm unsure whether taking the super fancy >10000 pricetag or dropping to <9000

Although I may have a problem...when I reviewed the car it had less HP then when I saved it. I have I4 2.0, no turbo with DOHC and injection...and every time I reload, I have 187 HP, not 199...

Change to a tab and then back to the overview, this allows the game to recalculate. I have a HUGE problem getting my cars to load properly as well though, in fact my entry for this challenge is BROKEN, the Trim is completely gone (It is now renamed Trim 1), the only backup I have is the file I sent so that is good.

I once had a 1984 Subaru GL-10 Turbo coupe with a 3 speed pushbutton 4WD auto. Because nothing screams "sporty turbo" like a 90-ish HP wheezing boxer with a slushbox.

This is mine 1978 Milon.

I think it came up with 187 on this end when I tested it. You were under the magic 10 second mark for performance, so no need to worry about that.

My parents had an '88 GL-10 with the auto, mom warped the head when it overheated coming up I-80 by Blue Canyon, car never ran right after that. They also had a '83 GL at the same time with that single fog light behind the Subaru emblem, that car was WAY better than the GL-10 but it refused to pass smog inspection each year unless you fed it several hundred dollars. Strange as it is I miss those cars, GL-10 had a (for me as a kid) awesome digital display while the GL was cool because of that single fog light.

will submit a fiberglass Coupe my YCB since FMU lacks any luxocoupe entry, yup.... they never got into the muscle car craze (maybe because in latino america 4 door cars were more status symbols and 2 door cars, or so a Brazilian old car enthusiast told me)

Now, I've never been any good at these 'build a period correct' car challenges, because I always want to do something a bit left-field, and generally, with a bit too much power and emphasis on track performance than being an all around good car. Even if I tried to do my best to fit the brief of the challenge, I doubt that I will do very well, so there's very little risk of my winning here

That being said, the story of the quirky Brits at Armada continues: As reflected in the Talon, Armada was looking for new approaches to achieve more for less with their range of turbo i6es, an unusual move perhaps ahead of its time. The Talon, gained a small cult following for its quirkiness, its speed, and its temperamental razor-edge driving characteristics. Unfortunately, cult followings are not the same thing as good sales, and they hoped to capture a larger market share with their premium 2+2 in the Feltram*. Yet with their habit of offering a bit less for a bit more in the name of cutting-edge technology, is this a sign of things to come?

At any rate, even with a 3 speed auto, as is Armada's habit, you'd probably leave the poor sucker next to you at the lights in your exhaust

I decided I'd give 'the average' engine a go and whacked in a 5L V8 just because. And made it pushrod, just because.

My god, those fuel consumption figures. Sure it was a helluvalot cheaper to make, but... but those fuel consumption figures! Next to that, the Feltram puts the eco in eco-turbo!

It is actually quite easy with fairly low cams.

Heck, by choking it with the exhaust, I was able to get sub 200HP with a 10.9L engine.

Also, quick question, are you having problems with your "0" key? You are very obviously using a lower case "o" instead of zeros and it is somewhat confusing.
