Re: Bug Reporting Thread for B150328+

Hello,

I have this problem if I do anything, including changing anything to do with my car.

tolua++ dbcall failed!: [string
"--shared\functional\SANDBOX_DATA\CCar Calculat..."]:6611: attempt to index
field 'DriveType' (a nil value)

If you could help me, that would be great.

Re: Bug Reporting Thread for B150328+

I'm suffering a bug that the cars I made randomly disappear when I restart the game. Is there any solution or quick fix for that?
I'm using standalone edition version B150328.
thanks.

Re: Bug Reporting Thread for B150328+

Cars have the wrong max/min tire size. - using standalone version 150328
Reproduction (can be reproduced reliably):
1. Create a car (for example 2.65m wheel base sedan). Go to tire page; tire range is 580mm-620mm (as expected)
2. In the drop down box for car model, select another model (for example a 2.74m wheelbase coupe that you made before, or a car with larger wheels)
3. (another bug) You cannot click the tire tab tab; you first need to click model at the bottom to go back to body selection. Doing this enables the trim tab again. Click it and go to the tire page. Note that maximum tire range is for the previous loaded body (in this case 690mm-760mm).
4. Loading the large coupe tire range is now 580mm-620mm.

So it looks like the tire range is based on the previously loaded car.

Re: Bug Reporting Thread for B150328+

1. I made a car and designed an Engine for it. Everything was fine. Now I wanted to make another trim of the same car, so I clicked 'new trim' and now suddenly the engine is too big.
I am not sure, but I think the bug is that I could create a car with an engine that's too big, because when I try to make the same engine again from scratch it shows as too big. Nevertheless I can click on to trim (gearbox) and design the car completely (and test it).

One click on 'new trim' later...

2. When launching without internet connection I always get license error or something (I would like to be offline whenever possible). After that of course the program exits.

Useing standalone B150328
System: Win7

Re: Bug Reporting Thread for B150328+

When changeing to a different model variant the old engine trim is still being displayed, while the engine family changes to the correct one, thus displaying an engine trim that probably doesn't exist for the displayed engine family.

Hmm... ...maybe I can clarify by makeing an example:

A car model has variants 1 and 2. 1 uses trim alpha of engine of family A, while 2 uses trim beta of family B.
We are viewing 1, therefore engine family A trim alpha is displayed. Now we switch to variant 2.
Now it's displaying variant 2 family B but trim alpha (even if there is no trim alpha for family B).

Re: Bug Reporting Thread for B150328+

I am unable to download B150502 due to a 404 error and my installer not being able to execute/launch. Because of this I cannot currently play the game, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I just tried restarting my computer

The 404 issue has been fixed :) it should auto-update correctly now.

Will we see a news and/or a changelog for the version B150502 in the launcher?

B150502 is equal to the current Steam version B150409, so no additional changelog needed :)

I'm not sure if you would call this a bug but norton is being all suspicious.

Re: Bug Reporting Thread for B150328+

I'm using the non-steam launcher.

The game crashes, causing my computer to become entirely unresponsive whenever I:
1. open the game (15% of the time)
2. try to load a saved car from the main menu (20% of the time)
3. Try to load a saved car from a drop down menu (20% of the time)
4. Try to load an engine that is too big (50% of the time)
5. Try to load a car after several stats become "NA" (100% of the time)
--This appears to be a corrupted save, it typically happens after I make a change, such as changing the car's name. The game will crash, and when I reload, that car's stats all say 'NA."

Additionally, my changes are often not saved when I:
1. Rename a car/engine/etc in the drop down menu

Additionally, it's a gamble whenever I attempt to clone a motor. About 50% of the time it just makes me build a motor from scratch, but with bore and stroke restricted. All other setting go back to default. When it does actually work, bore and stroke will be clones, but it will tell me I'm at 2000cc displacement, regardless of what the actual displacement is.

I wish I could post error messages, but since this game causes my entire system to become non-responsive I can't copy text or take a screen shot. I think the error messages say something about corrupt memory.

I wish I could play the game I bought without reading through an entire forum's worth of posts to search for a possible fix. As excited as I am for it, I think I'll just pass on it for now. Attempting to play it is too aggravating.

I can verify that I have also noticed the bug where the total weight of the car with -15 quality for basic or higher safety options settings is less than the weight of the car with no safety options.
