Unable to play offline

I am experiencing some problems with the stand alone version of the game.

When i try to start the game "offline" it gives me a message that my key is invalid. This is strange because i never had this issue before, but now every time i start the game "offline" i get this message, when i am online it works normally no error messages what so ever.

I really would like that i can play this offline, what could be the problem??

I've reported this as a 150328-bug. I think there's nothing you can do except going online for login.
The key is probably being checked online in order to make for a better copy-protection. One would hope no human being is as low as to crack and distribute a game like this, but it's just a faint hope...
...on the other hand, would it be really so bad if an illegal copy would spread to like thousands of people? Since the game is in development all those who really like it would probably buy it eventually...

Yeah, this is a bug we still need to look into. In principle it should work after logging in just once to then play offline whenever you like.

I know it should work like that it always has worked like that, but since last update it doesn't and i have to get online in order to start the game.
