Re: BRC - Out of the Steam - 1945 [Race 3 Training]

Way to set the bar low! Getting more points than me could probably be achieved simply by showing up and not getting a DNF. hahahaha

***Take note that qualifying every week was not listed as a requirement to beat my points, as I'm nearly CERTAIN I will not qualify for the GH race!***

Hell no. I bet you I could out-qualify you in every race, and still not score any points, because due to my lack of real power and ability to fight traffic, I will be one of those mediocre cars that are just fast enough in the first race to be far enough down the order to miss out on points in the second race too. Every single time.

I am certain you will bounce back in the 1955 season. :D

Well, it wasn't really directed at you, strop. You didn't set the goal. hahaha

But, have you been watching my car at all? I assure you there is nothing special about it.

I only have points from sheer luck. (car number 13 received 13 points for a 12th place finish plus leading 1 lap, which was actually only on the front straight for about 8 seconds) I can't fight traffic, can't corner, can't accelerate, and don't have top speed (although my top speed is also higher than yours). Watch my car on ATT and see how quickly my car gets passed in traffic. I started 14th in the reverse-grid ATT race and by the end of the esses I was in 38th with no crashes or errors. ;)

2.87 times more torque, 1.45 times the power, AND 1.45 times the weight...... those poor, poor tyres. :)

Yep, and that is probably one of my single biggest issues. hahaha I'm at .5 grip front and rear after every event. :o

EDIT: Since this originated between 3rayman3 and myself, I'll include his trumpcard as well. We are actually pretty comparable, but rayman is also quite comparable with strop as well.

it seems that yours is better in a straight line whereas strop is better around corners and mine sits awkwardly in the middle

You would destroy them on a 2 mile oval track, high angle banking.

I think that given I specifically went for "light as reasonable", I leave myself short on the straights due to the added effect of air resistance!

Next round I'm going to make a f#&£ off powerful car to see what happens
