Re: Bug Reporting Thread for B150328+

I don't know if its a bug or intendet. If i am going to create a new Car say in 2015 but then i choose an older engine i have already build (1975 for example), the whole car falls back to that year. => 2015 supercar buildable in 1975 but 2015 technical abilities (carbonfibre etc.).

Re: Bug Reporting Thread for B150328+

Two Flaws

1. Why are there no cars that are at least 4.20m in length? How are we supposed to make super touring cars?
2. Why can't I change Headlights/Spoilers/Lips/Etc in making a new trim for a car?

@Francismotors: Dude, read the bug-posting rules. Just the lua error alone doesn't help one bit in fixing things, we need context. What did you do before you got that error, with which action did it pop up?

Re: Bug Reporting Thread for B150328+

When I load a car, inspect the stats then click anything that causes it to recalculate the stats change.
When I reload the car it goes back to the original stats but will change when anything is clicked again.
I could not get it to stay with the loaded stats and it always changes no matter what car is loaded.

Also the cargo space for the truck seems to be low, is it counting only up to the top of the bed?
I ask because I often load mine up to and above the cab depending on the weight and size of the items.

Re: Bug Reporting Thread for B150328+

I appear to have broken the game during the Trans Am V8 scenario. I had a silver score, made some changes and somehow butchered the reliability, hit revert and wasn't getting back to my silver score. Eventually I went back to the first screen (block material, etc) and no longer had choices of materials. Decided I glitched the game, exited the scenario, tried to return and I get a bunch of lua errors. I've also relaunched the game, the problem stays.

  Code:
tolua++ dbcall failed!: [string "--client\functiona\engineWizard_Mesh.lua..."]:311: attempt to index local 'blockMat' (a nil value)

Followed by line 167, 'Block' then 183 'AlternatorPully"....and so on. Assuming the save file for the scenario got garbled, is there an easy way to clean that up?

Edit: Friend pointed me to where scenarios are stored so I deleted it and is working as expected again. Is the problem file of any use to you for debugging, unexpected value somewhere maybe?

Edit2 (04/09/15): Just encountered the exact issue again. After silvering the Trans Am Racing scenario I made some changes that lowered a score, hit revert and broke it again. The engine was aluminum head and block and when this happens the only choices left are iron.

Re: Bug Reporting Thread for B150328+

I got this error when trying to define Gears for a new trim of my car. This one crashes the game completly. there where some others bevor which I just clicked away. nearly every click produced one and I didn't take them serious as long the dont crush the game but as I said this one does. Is there a possibility to downgrade to the previous version for not steam users? This version is extremly unstable on my win7 64bit system. I play the german version.

Re: Bug Reporting Thread for B150328+

Hello! There is this bug, that when I have the game open (doesnt matter if windowed or full screen) a video that i am playing on a second monitor is laging and jumping back and forth a lot.
1) How to recreate this bug: Have the game open while watching any video (youtube, swefilmer (swedish movie site) etc.
2) A screenshot and / or the error message you are getting. (You can copy paste the error message!) A screenshot wont show anything.
3) The expected behavior if something doesn't seem to work as intended. Jumoy/Laggy video. I dont know if this actually has with the game or with google chrome to do.

Re: Bug Reporting Thread for B150328+

I have discovered a bug where there is a graphical glitch when creating what I believe is any car with a monocoque chassis and double wishbone suspension on the front. The game does not crash, it simply flickers underneath the car and through the engine bay on front engine cars. Here is a video showing what is happening.

Re: Bug Reporting Thread for B150328+

I think that one of the morphing maps is misaligned on the 1960 Coupe (2.35m chassis) Corvette-a-like.

At the rear of the body there is a map that I think should be over the hood on the convertible:

Also, I think this might be the same map needing moved forward to the hood:

I'm guessing that was the intent with those maps since adjusting them does bad things to the car body. Plus I walk by this every day.
