Re: Bug Reporting Thread for B150328+

Problem:
Gamecrash + Systemcrash

It can be trivia, but just downloaded stand alone version patch and it thinks game is not installed.
Thanks for help

In the "4x4 Drives you scenario" The RPM limit is set to 4000 instead of 3000.

The RPM stat is a minimum (lower limit) in this case, so the bug is that the game doesn't tell you that :)

Is it just me, or does the glossiness of the fixtures not match with the overall glossiness slider value when initially opening a model?

When I shut it and reopen it, the model works fine after that.

Re: Bug Reporting Thread for B150328+

If you build an Inline 4 engine, start a new family, and then build a V8 engine, there will be a glitched flame coming from where the first cylinder of the Inline 4 was. So, a V8 with a flame where the injection system goes. It's hard to understand, so I'll post a picture when possible.

Not sure if this is worth your time fixing, but it's the second occurrence I've noticed tonight. Adjusting rear wing angle and the extra line showed up on the Drag graph. Change to another angle, and it goes away. NOTE: This does not make the game any less fun.

Re: Bug Reporting Thread for B150328+

I've been trying to figure out how the new drag calculations have changed in the newest patches, as they seem to really be adversely affecting top speed to an unprecedented degree. It's nearly impossible to replicate hypercars with the way my game is behaving currently, and I'm debating as to whether it's just an issue with my install or in general. In B1418, a 2500hp ish car with about 4700kj/s cooling requirements, when properly cooled, would do about 414km/h. Then in the new build, the same car (with the same ridiculous turbo) would have slightly more power, and only require 3070kj/s (thanks to a rejigging of the turbo, if my understanding is correct), but the top speed, without active wing, and all other things being equal, drops to 360km/h???

And then, with the current patch, I'm suddenly finding a point where the drag calculations go very funny indeed. An example, using the same 2500hp MR supercar:

Less cooling than this, and the speeds behave the same as for the previous version. More cooling than this, and the top speed appears to be sub 200km/h which is obviously not right.

Well, that indeed looks like bugs! Why not just report them on Pivotal, strop? :)

No matter how small the bug is its always worth reporting because it will need to be fixed eventually. They will probably just be marked as low priority and placed on the back burner to be fixed at some time in the future.

I actually reported this very bug in the beta builds, but I was a complete dope and forgot to save the car that caused it and couldn't recreate the bug again, so it might be worth uploading all four of the car's save files so the devs have a way of recreating the bug.

Re: Bug Reporting Thread for B150328+

Dunno if anyone else is seeing this, but on the screens that show Top Speed, my game is showing the speed of the previous revision in kph and the current revision in mph. Red/green faster/slower indication is still working, though.

The active cooling feature, when selected, is not being saved on my cars. Have tried with a few different ones.
