Oh how it pains me to say this, but having to consider real life money/upkeep/insurance I would have to go with the Fiesta ST. Either way I would have to at least sell or trade-in a vehicle for a down payment and if I was going to replace something, it would be one of the everyday use cars driven by myself/son/wife. Probably the PT Cruiser as it's getting old and worn out. The wife likes driving it even though its a 5-speed so I know she wouldn't mind the ST's 6-speed. It would be the best addition to my "fleet", as she calls it, and best for my current needs and finances.

Even considering all that, the Fiesta ST sounds pretty sweet. When I saw your post, I checked out a review of it on caranddriver.com. A 6-speed manual gearbox, sporty suspension, 197 horsepower at big rpms, and the practicality of it is appealing to a driver like myself. I think I would enjoy the car very much in the long run. And it would be the first brand new car I had ever bought, so that's fun too.

Now, if you lived/moved to a temperate climate with harsh winters. Would you rather have a luxury four-wheel-drive SUV, or a sporty all-wheel-drive car? Your choices are the 2015 Mercedes ML350 or the 2015 Subaru WRX STI.

Skoda Superb, it just looks better, without the weird bits of the Ford, add four wheel drive, which the Mondeo will probably never have, and i got a winner.
