Odd thing in latest patch.

Tried the latest bodystyle, in the latest patch, made an transverse v8 1.8l high rev 260hp.
Front wheel drive, 7 speed manual, got 10.3s 0-100kmh. WHAT???? It only weighs 1060kg.... reduced the gears to 6 speed, spacing and top speed the same, 5.6s 0-100kmh. :shock:
Some calculation seems a little off.

Yes :( that damn gearing bug seems to not want to be killed!
Can you upload the car this happens with here? Just zip your engines and cars folder in Documents\My Games\Automation and give us the name of the car acting out :)

Re: Odd thing in latest patch.

Weird request: could you make a clone of this one which doesn't use any mods? We can't load it in and can't install mods into the dev version :s
Edit: wait, maybe Cas can load it by changing which headlight loads in manually :D
Edit2: no, that didn't work :(

Re: Odd thing in latest patch.

I think the grill is the only thing from the modpack.
And vents. :oops:

Tried to recreate without mods, but the result was not really the same.

But the 7 speed bug appeared after some testing. Edit: This time it is really 7 speeds. :) But the first gear goes past 100 kph, at the lowest setting.

Can you try out the latest Steam patch that just was released? :) We think that's now fixed! Cheers!

Re: Odd thing in latest patch.

Looks like the 7 speed bug might be gone. :D :D :D

Why does every patch reset the "appmanifest_293760.acf" file?

Adding the lines:
"InstallScripts"
{
"0" "_CommonRedist\\vcredist\\2008\\installscript.vdf"
"1" "_CommonRedist\\DirectX\\Jun2010\\installscript.vdf"
"2" "_CommonRedist\\DotNet\\3.5\\installscript.vdf"
}

Takes much longer(over a minute) to start the game, when i forget to remove those lines, just because the game has been updated.
