Export vehicle to folder option.

Well after the latest update and watching a lot of people (myself included) struggle with finding which vehicle files to grab for competitions I would like to suggest an "Export" button somewhere on the Platforms page, where you highlight the car you want to export, click the button and Automation copies the relevant files to a separate folder that maintains the folder structure but renames the top folder to whatever you input (maybe have a popup window ask for folder name?). This should help us when we go to zip the files up and send them and should help the race creators when they go to put the files back into their games for evaluation. Would this be too hard to implement? Is there really even a demand for this outside of the posts I have seen complaining about folder and file locations?

This only affects forums, I wouldn't want this added to the game. It's just going to be a learning curve for us to figure out the best way to submit them.

That is true and I did not think about its use outside of the forums, it has no use inside the game other than taking up space if you never join a race. Crap, there goes that idea then. Well in the mean time we just have to live with the current implementation of what we have, it might make the competitions less popular though with all the hassle

I don't know - sharing vehicles seems like something that people would like to do. [Edit: For example, someone making a tutorial on Steam might have a generic car for people to play with - one which easily shows off the changes that result from affecting the different settings.] I think the best solution might be to have an Export option to spit out all the settings & options and so forth (no calculations) as a single .lua file and an Import option that breaks it back up into the four files and recalculates everything.
That would also make it difficult to cheat by editing the .lua files for competitions - basically, importing a vehicle would be the equivalent to going through the entire build process and setting all the sliders and options manually.

I agree with packbat on this one. Historically we've done this quite a bit. I know I've done collaborations with other users before, something like an import/export function would make that a lot easier.
