1971 Portador

Image

The third generation Portador brings better brakes (ABS!!), an up to date design and the same level of comfor that Portador owners are used to. Even though its the 70s, we kept the chrome details so that everyone will know that car was made by Midgård Cars and the body work of the car got a boxy 70s look. The third generation Portador offers a three speed auto gearbox if you think that changing gears manually is a pain in the ass and ABS and power steering is available throughout the range.

As usual, we offer a hand made interior for the top-tier trim, the Portador Rey. To top it all off, the third gen Portador offers superb sound insulation throughout the range so you won't hear anything inside of the car (you can't sue us if you fall asleep while driving the Portador).

Thanks! :D

I do have a suitable V8 for it but the Portador is meant to be a luxurious cruiser and the inline 6 offers the smoothness needed for luxury cars. Midgård Cars doesn't have a performance division like Mercedes with AMG. Yet.......

But if you or someone else wants to modify my cars or just want one of my engines, just send a PM and I'll gladly send over the files. After market modding has been a thing for quite a while.

1972 Criado & Criado Oden

Image

The third generation Criado brings a lot of changes and it has so much chrome that your local pimp will be jealous. Once again, the starting price of the basic Criado was increased because if the improvements. Road compound tires, ABS brakes and a galvanized steel chassis cost a bit to implement, you know. Other than that, everything's the same as before, except that the basic version has low quality entertainment system. You can also choose standard or premium quality interior and entertainment if you want and all versions come equipped with a three speed auto.

Then there's Oden. The Criado Oden. The ''high'' performance version of the Criado is named after the famous Norse warrior God and rightly so. It has a responsive and aggresive I4 that puts out an astonishing 169 horsepower (well, it's good for an early 70s I4. Right..? RIGHT!?!). The vikings at Vallhall Performance, the performance division of Midgård Cars, lowered the ride height, made the suspension stiffer and added a sporty 4 speed manual transmission for extra sportyness.

1973 Vibora & Vibora Oden

Image

The third gen Vibora has a couple of performance upgrades, an up to date design and slightly worse fuel economy than the second gen Vibora. But who cares about fuel economy? It's the god damn early 70s, which were full of gigantic American land yachts with underpowered V8 engines. Anyways, the Swedish muscle car with loads of chrome is back with a monocoque chassis, very wide tires and it now has power steering and ABS brakes. The entry level trim comes with a four seat standard interior and basic entertainment. Costumers could choose premium quality interior and entertainment, if they want to make the car more comfortable. The car has pretty stiff suspension so it isn't something you'd call a comfort car.

We thought that the Vibora needs even more power so we let Vallhall Performance do their thing. They produced a 427hp monster with extremly wide 305mm tires that does a lap around the airfield test track in 1:29.33. Pretty good for a reasonably priced muscle car from the 70s. Then there's the horrible fuel economy that will make you the primary target of militant ecofascist hippies because muh environments. It drinks 14,14 liters/100km and has no catalytic converter.

1975 Mundo, Mundo 175 & Mundo Valhall.

Image

The comfortable cruiser returns from the dead. The second generation Mundo's biggest change is that it has five seats instead of two, but the concept, which is reasonable price and comfort, stayed the same. The car has gone through a massive design overhaul and several engines are available, as well as a luxury grade interior and entertainment. Base version comes with premium interior and entertainment, with a 136hp I4 and three speed auto and most versions of the car have a semi clad undertray for better aerodynamics. In the US of A, militant ecofascist hippies made catalytic converters mandatory for cars sold in 1975, so we had to create a seperate engine line up for the US market and the car has ABS and power steering as standard equipment.

The original Mundo had very little power so Valhall Performance tuned it for performance. They gave the 2.4 liter inline 4 mechanical fuel injection and a turbo charger so the engine puts out 196 horsepower and over 300 Nm of torque. Paired to a five speed sport transmission, it does 0-100km/h in 6.2 seconds and it runs the airfield test track in 1:32.06. The car also features a fully clad undertray which reduces drag, a stiffer suspension for better cornering and rear double wishbone suspension. The Mundo Valhall is a crazy pile of metal. In fact, it could probably match or even beat the 0-100km/h times of some muscle cars of this time period. Sadly, Mundo Valhall was only available outside of the US, due to the requirements of catalytic converters.

Suspension setup: Front MacPherson Strut and rear semi trailing arm (rear double wishbone for Mundo Valhall).
Drive type, engine and gearbox: FR layout, 2.4 liter inline 4 (136hp @5400RPM; 200Nm @3400RPM), 2.4 liter ”175” inline 4 (175hp @6000RPM; 213Nm @5700RPM) or 2.4 liter turbocharged inline 4 (196hp @5200RPM; 318Nm @3800RPM) three speed auto or four speed manual (five spd manual for Mundo Valhall only).
Tires: medium compound road tires(sports compound for Mundo Valhall & Mundo 175), 225mm width, 550mm wheel diameter, 13” rims.

1962 Armonia

Image

The Armonia is a comfortable two seater convertible for all your cruising needs. Take a drive by the beach in style with the Armonia, which comes with premium interior and an AM radio in the base trim. It has a smooth inline 6 but even with this engine, wheelspin is a problem if you floor it, so take it easy with the accelerator. Even with the inline 6, sports compound tires had to be used to make the car somewhat driveable. You may also notice that the tail lights are similar to those used on our 1962 Portador.

While it looks a bit aggressive, it is no performance car by any means but if you think that 182hp is isn't enough, you can get the V8 sport package, which gives you our 5,4 liter 308hp V8 for that extra wheelspin madness. An automatic locker diff is included with this packade to reduce wheelspin and to increase 0-100 times. It also has a silghtly stiffer suspension and lower ride height to give you some cornering abilities, slightly more aggressive brakes and a semi clad undertray.

If you need more luxury, you can get a luxury interior and a god damn phonograph so you can play your favorite songs without having to listen to an annoying douchebag radio host. The luxury package also includes a semi clad undertray so the fuel economy doesn't get that bad with the extra weight that the luxury package brings.

Tires: sports compoound road tires w/ 14” steel rims, 620mm wheel diameter, 175mm/205mm (front/rear) tire width.

2014 Burro

Image

Yes, it's another supercar. In what way is it different from other supercars that one can find in the automotive world? For starters, it isn't THAT expensive even though it can match the performance of some supercars. Second of all, it runs on REGULAR quality fuel. We told 95 and 98 RON fuel to go #!*% itself because we wanted to make sure that you can fill up this car in most countries. Lastly, if you want high performance and don't want to spend a lot of money, we have a version with a 332hp inline 4. Sure, it sounds lame but it does 0-100 in 3.8 seconds, which is enough to spank even some V8 powered cars. Premium interior and infotainment is standard equipment for this car as well as ABS, power steering, traction control and electronic stability. If you want that really sporty feel, you can choose a lightweight sport interior. Also, the car isn't that uncomfortable since we didn't make the suspension too stiff and the tires aren't overly low profile.

Sounds pretty basic, right? We gave the car to Valhall Performance and told them to unleash all of their insanity on this car. The car is built with fancy materials, such as glued aliminium chassis and carbon fiber panels. It has magnesium rims, a hypermodern electronic limited slip diff to keep wheelspin at a minimum, some fancy as #!?% ceramic brakes and the most advanced safety features of the 2010s. We also included fully clad undertray and an active wing for optimized aerodynamics.

The car is RWD and has a dual clutch sequential gearbox, but AWD is offered with a 20F/80R power distribution for the Super-8 version of the car.

Tires: sports compound road tires w/ 19” magnesium rims, 720mm wheel diameter, 375mm/375mm (front/rear) tire width.

1980 Criado & Criado Oden

Image

The fourth generation Criado is a bit different. For starters, there's no shitty basic interior anymore. The worst you can get is a five seat standard quality interior and the best you can get is premium quality. Second of all, we said goodbye to leaded fuel so the Criado runs on regular quality unleaded now and it has an 8-track entertainment system (either basic or premium quality). The car is also equipped with power steering and ABS for easier driving.

The design is also quite different. We took a different approach and said no to chrome details. A Midgård Cars car without excessive chrome details? Yes sir! The concept stays the same, which is cheap, cheap and cheap, since the car has low service costs and a low price tag.

Then we have the Criado Oden, a high performance version made by Valhall Performance. They turbocharged the 2.4L I4, gave it mechanical fuel injection and other upgrades and thus it produces 204hp. 0-100 takes only 6.1 seconds, it still has acceptable comfort and it has traction control.

Brakes, differential & safety: front solid disc two piston and rear drum brakes, open diff (geared limited slip diff for Criado Oden) and advanced 1980s safety technology.

1975 Gobernardor

Image

It looks mean but is in fact very comfortable. The Gobernardor makes a comeback but is USA exclusive. Despite this, people in other areas placed orders for the car through their local car importing companies so they could try the new gas guzzling brick from Midgård Cars. The car has only one engine, which is our trusty ol' 5.4 liter V8 and it comes with either a 5 speed manual or 3 speed auto, depending on if you want better 0-100 times or are too lazy to change gears. Every trim level comes with ABS and power steering as standard equipment.

The base trim comes with premium interior and an 8 track entertainment system but you can go all the way up to luxury quality for both of these. Sure, it looks like a brick and weighs around 1800kg but the powerful V8, which runs on unleaded fuel, the car does 0-100 in only 6.4 seconds and has a top speed of 246km/h so the driving experience isn't dull like in other luxury cars. Body roll is also kept under control for that extra sporty feel BUT... the Gobernardor wasn't as popular as we expected since it made some American landyachts seem like supereco hatchbacks, with it's average fuel consumption of around 21 liters/100km. Combine this with the oil crisis and sales will go down...

I was thinking the same then, especially considering that all Midgård cars have Spanish names.

It is the Gobernardor, the same name as the one from 1958.

Correct observation, mate! I do put a lot of time into these and only make new cars when I feel like doing so. I don't force myself to do it or it may look like crap. And thanks! :)

1983 Criado & Criado Oden

Image

The fourth gen Criado was quite crap actually. It didn't have to wow-factor, it didn't have the bling bling, it didn't stick to it's original idea. The fifth generation Criado brings back all the good stuff of the Criado series and a lot of improvements. All the chrome and design details are there and it's a bit larger than the fourth gen Criado so passangers get more leg room and there's tons more space for cargo so the Criado is once again a practical car. The car has five seats and the interior and entertainment quality varies from basic to premium, depending on your choice.

One of the bigger changes is the engine and the fact that the car has a FF layout now. Front wheel drive, that's right. We also replaced the old 2.4 liter I4 with a new and high tech 2.1 liter I4 that produces 148hp in its most basic configuration. We also offer the same engine block with different displacements, such as 1.8L and 1.5L, depending on if you want better fuel economy or more power. The undertray is also fully clad to reduce drag and ABS and power steering are standard equipment throughout the range.

As usual, we offer a Valhall Performance package for those wanting a car with more power and a sportier feel. Stiffer suspension, a powerful engine and a limited slip diff gave the car better performance and traction control should make the car easier to drive. This trim is called the Criado Oden, as usual.
