Re: Your Imaginary Car Manufacture Showcase

Name: Imperial Motors
Country: Founded in the UK, but with factories around the former British Empire.
Years Active: 1895 (as Heart Engineering) to date
Headquarters: Bristol, United Kingdom.
Motto: "De Ferro Ignique" (From Iron and Fire)
Logo: Originally retained the heart logo inherited from Heart Engineering, in the early 1900's switched to using a tall rectangular grill with a brass bar top and bottom and a vertical bar down the middle - forming the shape of a seriffed capital "i". The "Imp" model used this to add a small "MP" badge on the grill. This feature was retained until the 1960's, when the short grill made it impractical - instead having the three letters outlined across the whole grill. The company introduced an Art Deco IM mark in the late 1930's, on all models but the Imp, this mark was eventually standardised in the 1960's across the range. The logo consists of silver letters on a dark red background and has remained largely unchanged since its initial introduction - though special versions have been done for limited run cars. Examples of this include the 1979 "Diode" model, which had an enamel logo of a printed circuit board with IM spelt out in the wires. A 1997 "Red Rose" model which had an image of a red Rose instead of the IM badging, and was strongly criticised by the UK government of the time for breaking Political promotion rules - despite IM's argument that it was intended to celebrate St Valentines day, not promote the then opposition party.

Re: Your Imaginary Car Manufacture Showcase

Name: PPC (Pierce Performance Cars) aka Pierce's Plague on Citizens, Pierce
Country: U.S.A
Owner/Founder: Wendell Pierce (I hate it when I make up a name and google it only to find out it's a real person)
Years Active: 1974-present
Headquarters: Hickory, North Carolina
Motto: "The Evolution of Performance Automobiles"
Most famous car: 1987 Scoot, a mid engine "sports" car powered by a SOHC 8v 1.6 liter inline 4 making 98hp @ 5400 rpm and 113lb-ft @ 3500rpm. The car received many praises for it's handling ability and managed to beat out several more powerful cars during comparisons, though it probably received even more complaints about it's slow acceleration. Luckily the entire L series range of engines are drop ins, usually only requiring ECU tuning, the 2.0 from the 87-up Goblin GT became the most popular as the 140hp engine could get the Scoot to 60 in under 7 seconds.

Re: Your Imaginary Car Manufacture Showcase

Well we can't for now

and for good measure I've invented new car company ... Well I invented this ages ago but only veteran Automationian know about it.

Name : Conan Coachwork
Owner/Founder : Conan Murr Derr (Good Irish Name)
Years active : 1862 (As a bicycle factory) - Forever
Headquaters : Surrey, United Kingdom.
Motto : Balance auto for everyone.
Logo : Haven't plan that yet.
Famous car : Conan Hatch (1945-Now) is a car for average people who are bored of Boring Compact (Datsun Toyopet Masuda to Studebaker and Chrysler and all Ford America) but don't want to have an exciting fahking unreliable Alfa Romeo Lancia or Shiat or even Peugeot and Citroenein. Design to shaped like a boss and drive like a boss but not unreliable or expensive.

Conan Van (1980-Now) is a car for average businessmen who is quite poor ... Famous with it's all aluminium 0.4 Litre Inline 4 Engine with good solid 30 Horsepower and a body made out of *cough*plastic*cough* composite. Nought to 60 dealt with 40.3 Seconds and a top speed of 68mph. It's so damn cheap that it's make Cossack Auto's Auto looks expensive.

Re: Your Imaginary Car Manufacture Showcase

Name: Serothis Motor Company
Country: U.S.
Owner/Founder: Peter
Years Active: 1975-Present
HQ: Chicago, Illinois
Slogan: "Reliability is boring. Be interesting."
Most Famous Cars:

1977-present SMC-95: This family cruiser came in two flavours, sedan and hatchback, was SMC's best seller. It was powered by a 2 rotor 950cc rotary engine at release but was later powered by a 1050cc rotary engine which was later replaced by 2.4l W8 engine. Famous for it's head-scratching designs, this family carrier was no different. Both the sedan and hatchback had a rear engine, front wheel drive layout.

1983-1997 SMC-RS: This was SMC's rally ready model. This car was powered by a 1250cc turbocharged rotary engine. It was mid-engined which was unusual among rally cars. And with it's AWD, live-axles and 4 wheel steering it was said to have the cornering precision of an epileptic rat. Although it never actually qualified for any rally races, SMC's owner and founder claimed that "They're just jealous. The SMC-RS would have been a dominating force and would have been the winningest model in rally history!"

1997-present muon: This is SMC's current sports car. It comes in a coupe and roadster versions. Being unable to keep up with emission standards The muon sports a 2.4L turbocharged W8. With it's front engine and rear-wheel drive layout, The muon was SMC's most normal model.
