just downloaded automation and cant play the demo

i have just downloaded automation and the demo mode is not available to play. only the buy game button is avaible to press

Hey, there should be a "Play Demo" button on the left side of the launcher. Also, give the Live Chat a minute to respond, we sometimes are otherwise occupied.

Hey I'm having the same issue, except that once I click the play demo it starts a new window then a pop up arrives saying something along the lines of "Data couldn't be read or written, corrupted possible something" and this is what came in a drop-down underneath it. Any tips? Because if the game is as good as it looks on Youtube and such then I'd be willing to preorder. If you need me to search for anything just let me know

Killrob/Daffy/Zeussy will have to look into it, but the exception text seems like there's a problem with the Play Demo button itself. If the demo was updated, maybe something broke?

I am having the same problem.

The 'play demo' button isn't selectable. When I load the launcher it tells me I have version 0 installed and a new one is available, when I install the new one and open the launcher again it tells me the same thing.

That has worked, but now when the demo is loading I get this error 'Data couldn't be read or written: attempted to write to protected memory' and it does not load.

Okay, uninstall both the game and the launcher, use the cleaner tool located in the link I sent then re download and install, this error happens sometimes if a previous install was corrupted.

Do I need to actual re-download the launch and patch files again? Or can I use the ones I downloaded the first time I installed?

Hmm only other fix I know of for the protected memory is to once again uninstall game and launcher, run cleaner, then go to C:\Documents and Settings\(user name)\My Documents delete the whole automation folder and redownload a new launcher and try again from scratch.

One of the devs might have another idea if that doesn't work. Just out of curiosity are you running xp sp3? Or xp64 sp2?
