Re: Automation Touring Car Championship 2 [RACE FIVE RESULTS

Looking at the current standings, except if the results on the next tracks really do completely mess up the standings, I think I will end up 1st, and Mer_At 2nd.

If our results on Hockeinheimring and Laguna Seca are similar to our current results, even if we are both outside the points on BRC stage 2 it wouldn't matter.

The race for third could be interesting though, as there is less than 10 points separating third place from sixth place.

Re: Automation Touring Car Championship 2 [RACE FIVE RESULTS

I stand corrected, again. Seems choosing the bumpy Nuerburgring as test track has paid off here. Together with that long straight it was enough to counter the rather weak cornering and lack of tameness from the engine and stay in the upper half of the placement. Now it really looks like the car might finish the season up there. For Trackpaduser its about time to think what champagne to buy. The car showed no weakness on rather bumpy tracks as well.

An other track that seem to work fairly well for general tuning is the Automation test track.

My car was mostly tuned there, with aero being tuned so it worked semi-decently on both in Sepang and Montreal.

Well! Clearly I have gotten it wrong when it comes to "tuning for tameness"!

Time to study up and take another tilt another time.

Well, I'm happy to see the Znopresk 2nd in a such difficult and complicated track.

" :o " Is all I can say

I also beat strop, something I never thought I would manage (ignoring the Japanese Power Pact competition)

The pic didn't load for me until this morning. It looks great! (And also explains the horrendous rating of the road. Cobblestones and tram tracks all in one!)

Race Six: Hockenheimring

Here you have the results for the sixth race, in the very fast and technical Hockenheim circuit.

Random stats this time are the prices of the cars:

Still very, very pleased with my not-quite-top-10 performance.

Watch all that go out the window next round :p

Re: Automation Touring Car Championship 2 [RACE SIX RESULTS]

Looks like trackpaduser really has the jackpot car! It will be a fight for the last spot on the podium... I know where I'll be cone Laguna seca so I'm really looking at the BRC stage!!!

Re: Automation Touring Car Championship 2 [RACE SIX RESULTS]

I actually posted the car model in the thread where daffy was asking for cars for the steam trailer. If anyone wants to screw around with it.

viewtopic.php?f=38&t=5479&start=70#p59649

I used a modified version of it in the Japanese Power Pact and from the result of the first race it seems to do decent there, although I could have made it better if I hadn't decided to make the minitruck instead.

Makes me think that I should try entering a modded version of it in the hot hatch challenge.

Overall the golf body is proving to be a very good one for racing. It's light and it can fit some decent tires and a decent engine.

Re: Automation Touring Car Championship 2 [RACE SIX RESULTS]

Funnily enough that was the same body with which I won bittwiddler's 1975 turbo cup, though in reality that was because nobody went really all out with the not-crx body, which is also excellent. Though with the inability to use AWD in longitudinal configuration...
