Good and bad car base models (exotics)?

I see that your game has car base models ranging from 1940s to 2020... (from your videos i can see that you must either love the 1980s cars or they must be easy to model)

I was wondering however if each decade will have cheap, sporty and exotic cars...

For example the 2000's... Will there be cheaper models such as one similar to a ford fiesta mark6 ($20,000 au) and more expensive models such as a lamborghini reventon (my favorite car in which 20 were produced from 2009 to 2010 and costs $1.5 million us)

So basically each decade... Will each have 3 or more grades of quality for cars? Sorry I am no car expert... It's my dad and I wanna get this game for his birthday in sept 2012/2013 whenever it's done.

I think its safe to assume there will be at the VERY least each of the various car types for each (half?)decade. (Coupe, Saloon, Estate, etc..)

Whether its cheap/sporty/exotic will have more todo with the engine, suspension, and options for interior than anything... Luxury cars will want smoother engines, and softer suspensions where sports models will favour more responsive but rougher performance engines and harder suspension.. Also the fixtures you use on your cars... so a Luxury model might have a chrome grilles, where a base model might just be painted the colour of the car or black..

And yes, the abundance of 80's models at the moment probably has todo with the ease of modeling them, and getting the handles to work.. The Devs have mentioned that its a bit more tricky to get handles to work well on more rounded bodies..

What makes you unstably mention half decade... When I was watching the videos there was a bar that said 1980's... you saying that we might see the words "early" and "late" or possibly even "mid" up there in the future?

That was 1980, meaning manufacturing year, and depicting the technological advancement. In normal game, this bar will be hidden, and it's value will depend on the current year and your company technological advancement.

Yes, there will be many different styles of body, at the moment we've just done some 80's and 90's hatchbacks as a test, but there will be hatches, sedans, supercars etc. and there will be different styles ranging from the 1950s to the near future.
