Re: Solstice Motors

Thought it would be wise to rename the 2016 concept to the 6th generation concept, as it kind of contradicted my other statement.

I want to see more! I see you have progressed over the months to getting the feel for designing these cars. Keep it up!

Cars: A Birel Go Kart. I can't remember the full chassis name. 4-stroke, Honda GX160, makes around 5-hp (With limiter)

Re: Solstice Motors

I would like to see a high-power supercar like the Solstice Fleetwood 5.0. I think that if you can make something like that, it would improve your company alot. :D

I have just created a car kind of like yours. You can check out my company thread here: viewtopic.php?f=35&t=5347&p=56492#p56492

Re: Solstice Motors

Ever since Solstice was bought by the Volkswagen Group in the 80's, we have churned out nothing but performance and luxury cars and we want this to change for the 2016 model year.
Introducing the 2016 Solstice Pulse.
Image
Image
The Solstice Pulse is a 4 door, 5 seat family car like no other. It delivers that authentic Solstice feel; power, prestige, good looks, all for an incredibly low price. Everything in this car is brand new, too. Everything from the bonnet design all the way to the compact 4 cylinder engine. Speaking of which, let's go over the engine.
Contrary to what you might have expected, the new engine is a 1.5 litre 4 cylinder that has quite an insane amount of power. The block is made out of aluminium, and the cylinder heads are made out of an AlSi compound metal. The engine utilises a brand new DOHC system and the fuel is fed to this monster through a Direct Injection fuel system, but this is not the reason for the insane power. The reason for the power is because of the huge turbo on the side which runs generates a metric fuckload of boost, additionally, the engine is able to produce upwards of 400 horsepower by making it run a richer fuel mixture and by changing the compression, but doing so will obviously lower the fuel economy. The engine is connected to a standard 6 speed RWD manual gearbox, however a 6 speed sequential is available at extra cost. Now, onto the car itself.
The Pulse features a lot of unique styling cues, such as the new headlights and indicators and the new vents on the bonnet, and it actually takes a few styling cues from the Solstice Buxton, our high-end luxury sedan. The Pulse is supposed to appeal to everyone, regardless of age, gender or taste. The Pulse has something for everyone. If you prefer a more luxury oriented car, you can opt for the fully leather interior with wood trims. Or perhaps if your car to have a sportier feel, you can could perhaps opt for a pair of cloth bucket seats in the front and carbon trimmed panels, or black rims etc. Cloth interior comes in 3 colours; black, gray and beige. Likewise, leather interior also comes in 3 colours; black, white and red, however the options don't end there. Alloy wheels are standard and various types are available in either metallic silver or black, specific shades will come at extra cost. On the outside you will be able to modify the car exactly to your taste, you can remove all badging on the front and rear and you can choose whether you would like fog lamps or not (in countries that allow it). The price for the base model will probably be around $19000, but it is still subject to change. The car is set to go on sale around November-December 2015.
Anyway enough of me explaining things about the car, let's let the car do the talking for itself.
(I decided to use a black car, as it makes the chrome bits stand out more)

Re: Solstice Motors

I'll think about it, putting an I6 in it would make it a direct competitor to a lot of the cars coming out of Germany.

Re: Solstice Motors

I decided to give the Buxton a bit of a touch-up. Obviously since I designed this car a couple of months ago, my tastes may have changed and ultimately the way I design cars has changed, please tell me what you think of the redesign and what I could improve on (when the car is white, the rear end looks a bit overcrowded with fixtures and vents in my opinion, but I'd like to hear what you think). Here is the facelifted version vs the old version (in that order):

Re: Solstice Motors - Opinions Wanted

The vast majority of companies that were active last year aren't posting new designs right now, due to a) ongoing problems with saving b) upcoming further balance changes with some adjustments to mechanics that will accompany the next major update.
