Re: Design posting thread.

Yeah, sadly a 6150 is well below the kind of graphics power you need to get anything like decent performance in Automation.

Might be worth looking into something like an 8800gt (which you can get on ebay for about $60 by the looks of things)

Re: Design posting thread.

8800gt is a good card I've got a 9800gtx which is brilliant

be warned tho i had to upgrade my psu because i didn't have a 12v rail that could supply 36amps

worth bearing in mind when upgrading your graphics card as it caught me out makes it that extra £50

Re: Design posting thread.

Here is my latest design..

Edit: Added a screeny with the specs.

Edit: Average torque is really odd... since this engine makes 140-150nm of Torque from 2000-9000 Rpm

Its a no compromise mini track car. And I imagine having a 7 speed manual and only a top speed of 193km/h means it'll be going through clutches & transmissions like crazy.

Its got an all alluminium 1.4L Direct acting OHC 8 valve with Direct injection and ITBs. 185hp @ 9400rpm and 140-150nm from 2000-9000rpm.

What do you guys think of the styling of the car though?.. I think so far thats the best body Daffy has done and the grilles and various bits are coming together to make some interesting designs..

Re: Design posting thread.

ah, makes a bit more sense if it's a "no compromise" car... I was wondering how it could be so light!
also makes sense that you need an engine rebuild before 100k kms ;)

body looks good!

Re: Design posting thread.

1993 Update for the Drake hatch to adress a few concerns:

-6spd lightweight instead of the 7 speed used before. This resulted in better acceleration; higher top speed.
-Electronic LSD
-Engine now has Forged Titanium Conrods for better balance and responsiveness.
-Revised front lower Grille.
