Re: Automation Touring Car Championship [Race Two Results]

I'm pretty much in the bottom half of all those stats but i'm still 16th in the champioship right now, which means i'm in the top half there.
Looks like at least my set up is not too bad but my engine is pretty bad... 42hp below average and 123hp below top...

Re: Automation Touring Car Championship [Race Two Results]

I revisited my design and noticed I am missing out on 14hp if I just increased my exhaust size 0.25" -_-

Hopefully my hours (10 minutes) of tuning (pushing sliders to random positions) will make up for my minimal (quite significant) power:weight deficit.

Hey cool, if you only spent (10 minutes) on the tuning, maybe you might have some time to reply to that pm I sent you last week :P

Re: Automation Touring Car Championship [Race Two Results]

By the way, I would like to point out that originally I had planned to post the results every two days, having the first two races released so close wasn't what I had planned for, and the rush allowed for some problems to sneak through. I was going to release one graph every race, along with some sort of journalistic writing to go with it. But I got carried away with trying to release them as soon as I could.

Anyway, tomorrow a new set of results should come your way. I want to release them early on the afternoon, but I might not be able to, who knows.

Don't sweat it man, you'll post when you're ready to post and we will all be happy with that; the waiting for results will only magnify the suspense! :)

Re: Automation Touring Car Championship [Race Two Results]

8th for power and 3rd for weight, that's not bad, especially for a noob. And while screwing around earlier today I was able to build a 350HP engine within regulations.

Also, points in both races!!!

Now I just need to get better at suspension tuning.

Re: Automation Touring Car Championship [Race Two Results]

Honestly the card said it all, as a demo user you did a great job. I would say if you got the full version you would likely be very competitive on track!

Edit: just realised I may have mistaken the user who was using the demo version :P

Race Three: Tsukuba

Here we have the third race results and things are spicing up among the top three.

From 10th to 25th, things are pretty mixed up as well.

Here are the results:

And we have a tie for the top of the leaderboard, they are matched up in all the criteria I had come up with, so we have a three-way tie.

Re: Automation Touring Car Championship [Race Three Results]

Now that was not quite the expected result! I was expecting third. Jakgoe, you were very right in your remark about the Trololol. It's VERY handy in the corners.

With this, I'm really happy, because this promises to be the tightest of competitions! I say good luck and godspeed to everybody!

Edit: now I definitely don't know for sure what happened to the save file, even reloading all my things, that time is different again in a different way to previously! Fortunately for all that it has not altered my position at all, despite just how close it is. But next time I will definitely be less ocd about tuning!

The BMMS it's again in 4th position. I'm very happy about the performance.

The Zenith it's fighting in the mid 10... Sure the driver is having fun driving in the middle of the pack ^_^

This may just take the cake as the most entertaining race ever raced on the forums...

Finished 13th again with the van, it seems to quite like that spot :P
12th in overall now. I'd say the van experiment has good results so far.
