Re: Automation Touring Car Championship [Race One Results]

I really wanted to enter this, but was away during those 2 weeks.
What would cause a car to DNS (did not start?)?
Was there a limit on production units?
Does fuel efficiency matter and is there a limit to how often you could refuel?

Re: Automation Touring Car Championship [Race One Results]

In riley's case, the car would probably not have even made it around the track, therefore the simulation crashed when attempting to run it. This appears to be due to Riley putting all his aero on the rear, which causes way too much front lift, and a nasty case of Unintentional Flying Car. If that is correct, I would not say that DNS stood for Did Not Start, so much as Did Not Survive

EDIT: Also, I just checked my own spreadsheet and the result, and the times match with none of my values on the spreadsheet. Hum. This may be something to do with the funny way it loads and saves.

16th out of 37 with the van, this is going to be an interesting season.

I'm going to bet right now that Dragawns van finishes smack bang in the middle of the field. Which is hilarious.

Shame that you couldn't take part in this.

The DNS is caused by some issue on the track, it gives me a lua error and crashes the game. I told Riley about it, but he didn't send me a revision, so he got a DNS.
There was no limits on production units, only a 12000$ limit, the other limits are on the op.
No, fuel efficiency doesn't matter at all and I didn't even try to make it like a endurance championship, that would have made it more complicated and more likely than not, less fun.

Exactly why I grabbed my popcorn, the top speed is my van's achilles heel, it should finish even higher in the next round

I also got this problem, I had run some preliminary results before, which I hadn't noted down, but I knew roughly what they were, and I had got different results to some cars, including yours, I retested them several times, accounting for the aero bug, but if the new result was repeated, which they did, I didn't see a reason not to use it.

Race Two: Suzuka

Image

Here are the results for Suzuka!
This time around we have a draw for 9th place, which was settled by giving both drivers the same number of points.

We also have a new podium arrangement, with Jakgoe emergining as the new championship leader.

The power and weight charts will be released once I get back home, as will the new championship standings.
