Hmmm...the cops hein.... while i "clean" the last drops of Gin from the last bottle, i play a bit with die soon and die sooner. Crossed my mind that Testis is the slowest. No doubt about it.

I'm just wondering to my self, what the hell am i going to do with all those empty Gin bottles in the back ...

The minute headstart is so everybody gets a lap in before they get hauled in. I would expect Testis to be caught up to right as they're crossing the start/finish :P

[ooc] right! i was just writing that.... :P i will figure something out. So, do we sent you our story via PM? or we just put our ideas in this thread, to be continued by you strop?

[OOC] You said "road" what about the other bits and bobs around it? I.E. Trees, walls, watch towers and what-not?

Re: Barely Street Legal League [FINAL RACE UNDERWAY]

Kristina looked over into her passenger seat at the rather plain looking girl from the farm near Müllenbach. She was about 27 years old, though Kristina hadn't actually asked, and mostly worked on the farm for her father. She also did some sidework from home, for various military contractors as a consultant. She had been following the chaos surrounding the BSLL for 2 weeks on the underground internet channels and was very excited for them all to arrive here, near her home. Müllenbach was not an exciting town, and Aixa craved something big!

In front of her, on the dash, sat a small netbook with a spider-web of wires protruding from it. These were for high-level encryption and decryption. Aixa was something of an underground hacker, which is how she knew Lori Dark in the first place. RWTH Aachen University had provided her with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, and Computer Engineering M.Sc., with a special focus on System Engineering and Automation. Having heard of the "supercop" weapons, she insisted she could assist Kristina and the BSLL with only a laptop, as she did not like the sound of violence and gunplay. It had been agreed, Kristina would only resort to violent destruction if Aixa could not disable the vehicle's systems remotely. Atop the car, sat a .5m fixed antenna for the laptop, dedicated to Aixa's purpose, and an operating range of about 2km. Both it, and the laptop, were shielded and isolated from the car's electrical systems as well.

After the "threat" from the idiotic, arrogant "cops", Kristina sat back in the car. Speeding past the HASIRA in a fishtail, the police cars lights flickered in a random pattern, as Aixa smiled sheepishly. "It's on!" barked Kristina. It had taken Aixa less than a minute to locate the HASIRA communications circuit and backdoor the system. Now all she had to do was find out how much control it could reward her over the police car. While she fully understood the system comms, she didn't necessarily understand all of its variables, so she would need to trial and error her way through the system. This would take time she might not have before getting kicked out, but it was worth a shot.

The ultimate goal? Shut down the engine!

Re: Barely Street Legal League [FINAL RACE UNDERWAY]

With Elena on the passenger seat, Tom drove onto the legendary Nordschleife. Just before the first corner, though, he saw a low, mid-engined car with flashing lights in his rear view mirror. "Oh, really?! I haven't even started my lap...", Tom cursed. But in preparation for this race, he had installed a device that would warn him if obstacles (such as road spikes or, god forbid, missiles) were close. So he drove through the first couple of fast corners and then onto the Fuchsröhre, the first of many straights, with the Hasira close behind him. Just as the track straightened out, he could see in his rear view mirror that some of the vents on the Hasira opened, and what was surely going to be the grappling hook was loaded. Immediately, he pushed hard on the brakes and pressed the Jump button at the same time, leaping into the air with the Hasira surging past him on the ground and the hook landing on one of the nearby trees. The Hasira crashed into the barriers and surely he would lose enough time for Tom and Elena to finish the race safely... that is, unless some other problems would arise. The Brimstone was already slightly faster around this track but with this accident happening, the Hasira wouldn't be able to catch up again even if it wasn't destroyed. Before the Karussell though, the cops had deployed some spikes but the detection system on Tom's car had warned him in time, so he braked hard and then, going slowly, jumped over the spikes and still made it through the Karussell not only alive, but also happy about the latest software installments. "Tom, you're a genius! Now all we need to do is finish this lap... and then another one. But who knows what will happen next lap...", Elena said. "Don't wory, Elena", Tom replied confidently, "I prepared something. The car sent the info on where the spikes are to the other competitors' onboard computers. But also to the laptops of my service team in the pit box, and they will make sure those spikes are cleared before we get to that point of the track again" - "But wait... how fast did you say this car goes round the track?" - "About 7:20" - "So they have to read out the data, go to the exact location and remove the spikes properly all in just about six and a half minutes from now?" - "Correct. Keep in mind though, nobody in the AMW team is sleeping. They'll have it done in no time, honey." - "I hope so", Elena said worryingly, "because i don't wanna die." - "Trust me, we'll be fine", Tom ensured.
The second lap flew by, as did the helicopters above them, but they didn't shoot at the car because Tom and Elena hadn't used weapons. As Tom had predicted, the spikes just before the Karussell were now gone. On the main straight, Tom floored it confidently and the car picked up speed rapidly. Doing over 300km/h though, the detection software beeped. "Oh shit, what's coming now?!", Tom and Elena yelled simultaneously. Then, they saw a roadblock by the police. With still enough track left, there really was only one option: press the Jump button again and hope for a safe landing. So Tom pressed the button, the Brimstone flying through the air for at least 200 metres, then landing on all four wheels, braking hard for the last few corners and going across the line alive and unharmed, but shocked. This had been the ride of their lives but at least they made it.

Re: Barely Street Legal League [FINAL RACE UNDERWAY]

OK. This was the job of Jack in the first place. To protect the others. To stop the deranged agents, and to do something about the local police. He started out slow, to give the hobo the opportunity to overtake him. After all, it's the flying lap that counts anyways. That would ensure the Hasira would go for him first. And he needed to make sure that he kept them next to himself, that he slowed them down, so they would not be a threat to others.

First step, enraging them. Look, Roland has been trying to get into the two psychopigs' car.
"Yeah, I did it! I hacked into their..." he shouted through mods' radio channel, but then stopped, realising something "...into their radio..."

"It'll be enough. Drop it" Jack said.

Agent Decker and Black heard an intense beat coming from their communication systems. And then Jack's voice joined in.

"EPIC RAP BATTLES OF BSLL!

AGENTS DECKER AND BLACK!

VERSUS!

ME, AHAHAHA!

BEGIN!

So, you're coming for me? Alright, let's have some fun!
That's so cliche, men in Black, excuse the pun!
You're compensating for something, you sure make me laugh
I mean, you drive a Normandy, that's a diss enough
You've got beaten by a Caddy that's half a century old
When I'm done, all that'll remain of you is a twisted manifold
For you, it's my C0M81 that is the Green Hell today
I've been in Top Gear, and you, you would lose to May
And you're still trying to fight, trying to challeng our might
It's like you've made like like aviators, and got high
Black and Decker are such tools, they are, from what I can see
Two morons who are butthurt 'cause they couldn't get into the league"

Obviously, Jack was also pushing some of the police cars off the track to the extend of his ability. most of them only needed a little push, seeing the conditions on the road. He would pit manuever them out once he could see the Hasira in the mirror? The purpose of that? Well... They would mostly stay on the road. Meaning that Hasira would have to avoid hitting them, slowing the Agents down.

Inevitably, the black supercopcar would close the distance, and would be able to target its EMP at Jack. That's when he simply hoped his armor would work. He still kept the fuses ready.

Then it would get so close to Jack that it could try to spin Jack instead. And that's when he had a distraction planned. The moment the distance was that close, Roland in the hobo car in front of the F3L1C14 would take his Banhammer, with a concealed shotgun, would shoot at the cop car. Jack would simultaneously try to push the Hasira off the road.

Yeah if you have any suggestions post em here, easier for everybody to keep track.

Posts that break rules of engagement will be notified here with advice on possible consequences, and if not addressed by Saturday, I'll either redact or forge on depending on how rule breaking it is.

Re: Barely Street Legal League [FINAL RACE UNDERWAY]

@tom, couple of minor issues. *crash* may be a bit strong but I take it you were delaying and not taking out, so that's OK. I'll interpret that as rubbing up on the barriers or sliding along the shoulder. It'll buy you a few seconds.

Other issue is, are you sure you wish to assign your crew to picking that stuff off the road? There's a lot of track, and pretty soon its going to be pretty busy not just in one spot... There nay be a window early on, yes, but I would say a fair amount of trap that gets laid later on is going to be unretrievable due to too many hostiles and you might get shot/run over etc. It would be worth assuming that there is still some stuff on the roads after the second lap.

@vos: normally I would say no damaging the forest, buildings or anything else either (some if that is sacred, others heritage to the tune of 4-500 years)... But you're specifically in a shitload more trouble than the others, so I imagine you're going to be getting busy :P but please, just don't damage the road or trackside.

@kristina and kubboz: both of you are trying to hack hasira. I'm no expert, but will this cause issues if you don't coordinate?

Re: Barely Street Legal League [FINAL RACE UNDERWAY]

[OOC] Yes, and no. Multiple hackers with the same target will cause issues if they go after the same protocol/device/api at the same time, or if a second command overrides a first command, so yes, it would cause problems.

Both of us entered HASIRA through the communications system, ie the radio transceiver. This will only be a problem if we both transmit at the same time. The stronger signal will win, as it is RF derived. Exceptionally, his hacker did not enter locally, but through a remote network. (I think) This means he is transmitting to HASIRA from off-site, unless the remote hack is taking place through a comms system located on his car to HASIRA.

While this will cause some issues, it also presents a new form of attack. By tying up the comms system, the car can no longer be controlled or monitored remotely, forcing it to rely solely on on-board data. Map navigations, tracking data, etc would be disabled anytime the comms are tied up with the hacker. DDOS attacks are deadly to real-time, remote systems. If comms are talking to me, then they cannot talk to you. As my antenna is local and high-powered, my intrusion will keep everyone else out, including monitoring and control systems. Coordination, however, would be much more effective!

Re: Barely Street Legal League [FINAL RACE UNDERWAY]

[ooc] great. This gives me an idea. What if jack is hogging the line, so to speak, preventing Kristina and aixa from effectively penetrating the drive systems until he gets disrupted by the inevitable EMP attack? In the meantime they won't be able to transmit to anyone else so theres no coordination of the attempt to round them up. A battle royale ensues!

Also kubby, that was a SICK BURN. I bet agent decker gets reeeeal mad about that.

[OOC] Thanks! I would never be insulted by suggesting I'm an Angelina Jolie character! haha And probably the most awesome one, to boot! As for Jack hoggong the line, I had the line first, but he could kick me out with a stronger transmitter.

Re: Barely Street Legal League [FINAL RACE UNDERWAY]

Oh yes. There is one more idea for my character.

Since the Hasira's passenger window is likely to be opened, due to agent Black returning fire, Jack's another plan is to open his window, and throw his mic (he's got a spare) inside the Hasira. I mean, he doesn't just spit negativity, with all his sick burns. He can also provide some positive feedback...Let's hope the thrown mic lands close to one of Hasira's radio speakers. And that Jack's still connected then.
