Re: Automation Touring Car Championship [Entries Closed]

Yessss highest power:weight ratio! My car may not be the fastest around the track, but it'll do awesome donuts!

PS Leo, may I alter the card and send to you the actual cosmetic appearance? I left some of the fixtures off due to our technical problems.

Re: Automation Touring Car Championship [Cards uploaded]

 now that the entries are in, I'll reveal that I was easily able to make a cheaper NA engine that was lighter and went quite a lot faster around airfield and had a thousand dollars to spare... But ended up being about 4% slower on most of the competition tracks except brands hatch! Hence it seemed that these tracks were, for the most part, favouring higher power or power to wt ratio.

What I'm interested in now is whether the lightness of my car, or the raw power of jakgoes car, would be more important. Hmmmmm...

Re: Automation Touring Car Championship [Cards uploaded]

yeah, after my budget screw up the name should actually be 40 valve not 20 valve. Sorry the PM saying that must have gotten lost with that first revision I sent you.

"Very bad tameness:sportiness ratio for a N/A car"

You don't need tameness to be fast :x I compensate tameness by driver skill madness

The funny thing is, Jakgoe is the one who, recently, has been by far the most often using "please use the search function". Behold!

Race One: Sepang

Here are the results for the first race, that took place on Sepang International Circuit.

There are a few surprises all around and if your car didn't perform well, don't despair!
This is the fastest track of the season, with the longest straights, so top speed and high-speed balance were key.

Edit: Fixed the errors.

Re: Automation Touring Car Championship [Race One Results]

My Zenith was submitted with the idea of do a "proper" Touring Car... I wasn't expecting big performance from it.
But the BMMS is performing quite good. That car was designed to obtain good performance (read it lightest body possible)... I'm happy.
