Exhausts without the paint ring?

I know it's always "more parts will come" but has this been brought up? I like the exhaust options currently. But I really... really... REALLY want a choice to *not* have the ring around them. Just let me punch a hole and have metal sticking out of it.
Re: Exhausts without the paint ring?
Nah, the holes that they punch look really nasty and jagged, because of the way the hole punching works, so they need a ring of some kind to hide that.

Maybe a black ring could be offered. Then if the exhaust is placed on a grill being used for rear styling it won't be as noticeable.

Or a slim ring with both options (black and body colour). And chrome?

Re: Exhausts without the paint ring?
Maybe we could have a variant where the ring is the same material as the grille or hex-grille, so that it blends in more when placed on top of a grille.

Make several variants, black ring for black grilles, chrome for chrome and body-colour for the body-colour.
Re: Exhausts without the paint ring?
I've tried editing the LUA file for one of the exhausts, will edit this post with the outcome in a minute.
EDIT: I have edited the LUA file to add 2 more variants for each exhaust. One with plastic, and one with chrome. Unfortunately it's not possible to have one with a grille mesh because that particular material has to be applied in 3DS Max, and I don't have the model to do that.

Here is a .zip with the 2 new variants. Just drag the folders into your Exhausts folder.
Hope this helps!
