HighOctaneLove, you submission didn't apply the rules. Check original post of the thread.
There are some trouble for Strop and Darkjedi too.

Oh I know what my problem is. I misread the Min safety requirement. It'll be 25ish when it should be 27.5. Whoops haha I can fix that easily

Aaaaaaand I just realised I didn't submit correctly either. How about we disregard that first attempt and I'll try again!

Nope strop, you didn't correctly named the files so I didn't download it. No big fuzz for it, but if it really don't fulfill the minimum safety requirements I have to treat like everybody else and disqualify the entry... you destroyed yourself with your own han... hooves.
As I stated, no revision will be accepted. Sorry

The disqualified cars can run, but only for benchmark purposes. ;)

This is why I had to ditch polymer panels. I could squeeze out 25 safety fairly easily with polymer, but couldn't do 27.5 without advanced at +10 or higher sliders. I can't remember if I did hand made aluminum or steel once I gave up.

Eh, just used advanced safety. At lower positive qualities it isn't that expensive. Just a bit heavier. I'll see which setups are more cost effective aka be damned if I have to sacrifice power!

Oh I still had to use advanced to meet the safety mark. It was just at +1 or something like that in the end.

Re: 1600 TROPHY '92 - Sponsored by Znopresk

So I just did a 10 minute retune and figured, depending on how you skin the cat, you can either advanced safety with light builds (the lighter it is, the higher the quality you go, but it gets rather pricey if you go past 3+ or so!), or you can just enter something beefy. You know what I went for

Technically it's possible to save money using an AHS steel monocoque over a glued aluminium frame, but the whole car does end up being about 8% heavier as a result. It just doesn't seem to be as worth it, but again, that depends on how much weight your car already carries and how you budgeted.

As I stated in the OP, once the car is sent, I'll not accept revision, so I'll not run the revised car nor I'll check them.
The disqualified cars (first submission) will run amongst the approved, but if they'll win they'll not receive any of the slice of cake planned. :(

Don't worry for the revised version, you can sent them in for the next trophy.

(I'm sorry, but if I'll start to accept revision I'll be flooded with it... I have to draw a line and I've drawn it since the first post. My time is limited... :( and the cake is a lie ;) )

So if I read the rules correctly (I just want to double check). The only quality slider I cannot change is the tire quality? All the other ones are fair game?

Correct, the only slider forced to 0 it's the tyre one.

AW, OK! If the rules remain the same I'll wait until the next trophy to send the same car in then!

(In this case I will post the unofficial corrected times of the fixed version for comparison though of course it won't count for anything, if that's OK with you!)

This seems rather harsh. I missed one slider rule so I can't compete yet as of writing this post you haven't run the comp yet. I've already fixed my entry and re-submitted it. I don't care about winning but the issue here is that it would cost you nothing to run the entries that have fixed their errors since you haven't run the competition yet. My car is named the same so if you download my revised file you're writing over my old file anyway... No idea why you'd take this tone when it's meant to be some fun for the forum but if you go through with this then I'll avoid your competitions in the future.

Maybe instead of making dinky little tables that have lots of info crammed all together you could space it out so it is clear, concise and all relevant details highlighted.

Re: 1600 TROPHY '92 - Sponsored by Znopresk

Sorry, I can't agree with you here. His rules were very clear in the original post, including that once submitted, no revisions would be allowed.

He's not the only one who has that rule. Der Bayer has the same rule on his CTC competitions. If you screw something up in your LUA or spreadsheet, he tosses your entry.

Every person who puts out a competition has the right to set it up the way they want it. And it's your right to not participate. But to complain about his rules when you submitted even though you didn't understand them (or ask for clarification)... well, that's on you, not him.

(and for what it's worth, his rules are MUCH more clear than the convoluted mess that is the ITA series... which is part of why I allow revisions, even though it is a humongous pain in the ***. I don't begrudge him one bit if he doesn't want to deal with that.)
