Re: Weird habits ingame

I've gor a engine model number system

Say P857VT-P16TL-CS4S-088

That's a Performance application of the V8 5.7 block with a turbo, pushrod, 16 valves, single 4bbl carb, standard intake, made in 1988 (I'd never create such a monstuosity.)

I have to put -'s in mine otherwise i'm lost. I'm dyslexic and a serial number type thing like yours only looks like a jumbled mess to me.

And don't worry about the bitch please. I can intertubes too.

Re: Weird habits ingame

You have a point. And you crank a lot more info in your names.
I usually use one camshaft and injection type per generation, so I'm actually reducing the names to the minimum size.
And for the mess, it's way easier to understand it when you made it yourself, eh ? :)

Don't worry, I'll make it even harder...

So, who's the next to come up with crazy thoughts ?

- I've got stange addictions with numbers (.5 incrementations in bore/stroke, 20 in brake sizes, 12.5 in colling capacity, avoiding 17/19/21" wheels)
- When I target an engine capacity, like 2.0L, I'll get the closest possible to it but still under 2000cc, and while keeping relative bore/stroke equality
- I like to carefully select a color for each car, and find a poetic name
- I always name my cars with its release date first, so I find one easily
- I always save a temp version on every change while adding fixtures
- I always use at least +1 quality, as I expect my company to keep at least 1 tech year in advance to the others
- I usually avoid turbos, as I'm not quite sure I set them up right and as they're heavy on the RON side
- Using even capacities or .5L (2.0, 2.2, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, 2.8...)
- Documenting EVERYTHING, like 68-84 US headlamps regulations, side markings laws, etc. It HAS to be accurate !
- When setting a spot for licence plates, set it both high enough for US/Jap plates and wide enough for Euro ones, so we have a single bumper for most countries

I think that's all for now, I'll let you folks recover from my insanity :P

Most of these "weirdnesses" works for me too :D

Re: Weird habits ingame

On modern cars, I tend to use the same combination of lights and vents. This doesn't sound so bad until you realize that my compact econoboxes look just like my hypercars.
(Still haven't made a 900+ horsepower, 40+ MPG hypercar yet, though...)

Re: Weird habits ingame

I always start making older cars, and update them and the engines as the years go. Ever. Like Kev2442, I watch in the regulations and the advances of market, but this is "normal for me"...

Re: Weird habits ingame

I almost always stick to single standard multi point fuel injection because I love the way it looks with a performance intake :D

Also, a lot of my cars use the same grilles and vents...

I commonly make cars in the 90's instead of modern times. Partly because the music is better.

The music in the 2010 era is really sedate compared to "Ride the edge" and "Throttle."

I name my cars weirdly. For example: "Potatismos" is mashed potatoes in swedish and if you pronounce it like swedes do it sounds something like po-tah-tis-moose
