Re: Solstice Motors

The year was 1986. Rally cars were a new thing to Solstice, but that didn't stop us doing anything.
Group B was already a very dangerous class, many horrific crashes had occurred throughout 1985 and people were questioning its safety at this point. Some group B cars had Inline 4s that could churn out as much (or if not even more) power as some of the best supercars of the day. However, many of the major rally teams couldn't care less about the safety aspect, and cars such as the Audi Quattro S1 E2 with power in excess of 500 HP and the Ford RS200 with around 444 HP were born. Infact, just before Group B was de-established, Ford were planning a version of the RS200 with "as little as 550 horsepower, and as much as 815 horsepower". And so with that, Solstice had to make their car equally as powerful. Thus, the Solstice RS was born.
Being a limited production vehicle with only around 2000 examples being produced, it is now highly sought after by collectors. The car was powered by an all aluminium, 2.1 liter, turbocharged, DOHC, fuel injected Inline 4 that put out a very respectable amount of power. This power was fed through a 5 speed manual transmission. The car had an RMR layout (it was originally intended to be AWD, but limited engine bay space crushed that idea), had 3 piston brakes front and rear and a bunch of other fancy shit (I'm not going to disclose any data relating to speed and such ;)).

Thanks for your feedback!

Ya really. Difficult to represent a luxury car, especially these ultra-luxury sedans we're doing with no interiors lol :D got a few ideas of my own, but I guess the game still got a long way to go.

Re: Solstice Motors

Backstory is quite similar to that of the Group B car I made and posted the other day.

By the time the Solstice RS and the Type 507 are done spinning their rear wheels everywhere, there won't be a track left to drive on.

Re: Solstice Motors

Still not quite as fast as I'd like it to be, but hey it's not a full track car and it's running on road legal parts.

Re: Solstice Motors

The marketing and advertising for this company is awesome, I might need you to make a poster/banner for Prato Motor Company
