Re: Economy Racers

Ah crap, can we resubmit? I just realised there was a problem with my excessive 11000rpm redline. Namely, it doesn't actually add anything to the car as the shift point is kind of well before that. I'm used to tuning cars with a greater budget than this so due to the lower quality of components all round the power peaks quite a bit lower than that and the ideal shifting point is closer to 8500rpm (as I actually discovered when I ported the engine to Beam.NG! It's handy!)

You'll get there. My first competition I finished dead last. Like, WAY dead last. Like a minute slower than everyone else on Green Hell.

I know I'm having a good day now when I score middle of the pack.

I figure for having no engineering background and limited car building knowledge I am doing OK. I just now got the hang of how to get a turbo working efficiently.

Mastering this game is a question of time and some trial and error. There were a couple of things that made me learn loads about how the game works and how to make a fast car. Firstly, Der Bayer's excellent engine designer guide. It really gave me some great tips and taught me how automation works. Secondly, Bayer's deceased competition, the BRC. At the end, the winners files were made downloadable, and I learned lots by looking at their suspension set-ups and turbo configurations

Re: Economy Racers

hi guys :)

i'd like to introduce you my concept car,The RS-01 ER

this car was originally called RS-01 fitted with a 6.3l pushrod V8 Engine, and using Z06 as a benchmark  but then i saw this thread, and decided why don't give it a go?

in order to comply with the regulation i ditched the V8 and decided to go with 3.5l Inline 6 for compromising between power and economy and here she is

Re: Economy Racers

Hey, guys, if you all could send me pictures of the stats, that would be AMAZING. Actually, I need those, because I suck with computers, and... now saved cars don't appear in the folder for models, and when i save cars in the folder, they don't show up on the game  Awfully sorry, and I thank all of you soooo much for coping with my idiocy.

Well, i use MSI Afterburner.
You can overclock your graphics card, have a good OSD (fps/clocks/temps) , set a Framelimiter and take Screenshots with ONE Tool :)

I use dropbox, it automatically syncs with an outside server and only by pressing the button the screen is saved.

Re: Economy Racers

Just curious, titleguy... have you completely uninstalled and reinstalled automation? That will probably fix it not hunting to the right directory for the LUA files.
