You'll get judged by 4 parts:
RACING CREDENTIAlS: How well you perform on the track.
ECONOMY: Based off of overall eco-friendliness.
PRICE: How much you spent on your car.
RACING POSITION: Overall position of the race, based off of all the above factors.

Overall eco friendliness I Iimagine is a combination of emissions and efficiency.

I'd imagine it would be similar. lbs to hp isn't that far off from Kg to Kilowatts.

Re: Economy Racers

a 0.25 rating would be 1:4 power to weight, it doesn't matter if you used kw-kg or hp-lbs

Thats pretty relaxed, thats 1hp per 8.8lbs, a 2010 Toyota Prius almost makes that

Edit: with its gas motor, the electric motor exceeds the requirement.

Re: Economy Racers

He did also say originally it had to be under 1300kg, and set the minimum benchmark of 300 hp, OR that pwr-wt ratio... which if your car is very close to 1300kg is just barely shy of 300 hp.

Regardless, either power benchmark is EAAAAAASY to hit. So easy even VicVictory can do it.

Re: Economy Racers

As a general rule, these were my benchmark stats, from my version of it. I'm pretty terrible at making cars, so you should be meeting these stats, or at least the ones I currently have in place.

Mars Engineering enters the Challenge with the ME Abstichrinne.

It might not be the fastest vehicle, but with an engine reving well beyond 8.000rpm, you won't feel like sitting in an ecomobile. Yet it'll do almost 50mpg!

Re: Economy Racers

Quite the variety so far, a 50's hotrod, a couple sports coupes, an AWD rally hatch, a mid engine racecar and a late model hatch.

Re: Economy Racers

That is, a 50s FF hotrod, which took every fibre of my being to resist the temptation to post something faster! But it's cute (at least I think so) and I'm sticking to it for the lulz. I'm expecting to probably be near the bottom of the table this time around!

Re: Economy Racers

I dunno, even your 'for kicks' builds seem to place well. My current record is a consistant 2nd last place :-p hopefully I can beat that and move up 1 tier
