And you're making money on this car?

Dude, you're destroying the market for everyone with this car! Are you making millions of them, because the volumes you'd need to recoup your costs at that price point will be unsustainable...

 Best of luck too you; every drift racer in the world has just made your car their new favourite :D

PS: It's a good looking entry too :)

I could be able to sell it also at less than 20.000$... I hope I've made a correct guess about the max production ;)

BTW the lack of cheap bodies without safety penalty is disturbing... :D

Re: CTC - Car Tycoon Challenge #5 - 2014 [BUILD]

The thing that gets me is just how well these cheap cars sell. In Europe at least it seems that everybody goes for the more upmarket option, especially when you consider how well German cars sell. I know I wouldn't buy a car with an interior made from flimsy plastics and with a standard equipment list shorter than the word "joking" to your average teenage girl.

I have made two entries myself in an attempt to see if cheaper (my new entries) works better than more premium (my previous entry in CTC #3):

THE EVGENIS CHIONI
Image
Will be a production version of the Evgenis line-up once smaller, modern, city car bodies and 3-cylinder engines arrive.

THE EVGENIS ANEMOS MINUS WAGON
Image
Loses the upmarket interior and becomes far more affordable. Smooth 6-cylinder engine in this one, but reasonable fuel economy.

Most of german cars are leased by companies. Almost noone can afford to buy an Audi A6 or BMW 5 series new.

Re: CTC - Car Tycoon Challenge #5 - 2014 [BUILD]

The .lua filename must be (in your case) "Noporian" and "Noporian2".
So the name of the model ingame must be "Noporian" and "Noporian2".
On the .txt file (named "Noporian" and "Noporian2") you can input the name of the car model, like in my case "BMMS Blue Marlin GT-Sprint".
I hope it help.

Re: CTC - Car Tycoon Challenge #5 - 2014 [BUILD]

Your factory size scales up with your max production, so youbpick how many cars you want to build, and it will calculate how big and how expensive it will be. For the chassis, drivetrain, brakes, and interior options you have to use the template tab, it lists all the options along with the pre filled cells, just copy and paste the cells next to what you put in your car from the template tab to the calculator tab.

You hope? The sportscar market is doomed  Samsung-like tactics: roll in the market with ridiculously cheap stuff, great for the customer, but all the profit margins in the sector get destroyed for all companies, including the ones for them.

I'll be keeping my budget sportscar at a slightly higher pricetag, mainly due to the ridiculously high service penality Mid-engined cars get anyways (nearly double? Sorry devs, but I think you went overboard with it), giving the car excessively high running costs. Luckily the car seems to be atleast the ultimate trackday weapons ;)
