Re: New ideas ( I think )

1. Put it in the name
2. How hard could it be to find one of your cars?
3. Put it in the name
4 & 5. Not sure what you mean here, would you care to explain this a little more?

Re: New ideas ( I think )

1. I don't see why not.. It would help organize things a bit better.. Should be for engines as well. I'm really tired of having to put the year in brackets at the end of the engine name.
2. If they had model years then you probably wouldn't need this feature.
3. I think this should be in as well.. Basically this is what a player would do anyways, but having an actual system should make things more organized.
4. I dunno how easy adding trim pieces would be.. If it could be done easily then sure.. If not, then I don't think its worth it...

Although while we are talking about such things I wouldn't mind some more Badges.. Especially if they can be put on the side of the car as well. They could have some basic ones like 1600, 1800, 2000, Etc for common engine sizes, then some other badges for GT, GT-R, GT-S, LS, etc.. If a procedural badge generation system could be added that would be awesome, but I think that might be far too much work..

Also since I doubt they will really want to spend time making new badges at this point, I wonder if the modding community could take that on.. I don't imagine they would be overly difficult to do, and it might make a good project for a newbie modeler.

5. I think I've mentioned this before, but apparently its not that simple... While it would be awesome to be able to, for example, make a Long wheelbase version of your Sedan, I recall them saying it wasn't possible or too difficult.

Re: New ideas ( I think )

In automation models and trims are synonymous, I.e. the models are 2000e, 2000glx, etc
Also if you look in the 3d artists forum, prylix has created a special kind of vent that you can use to make chrome, black or paint rubbing strips, trim effects etc.
The wheelbase thing has also been mentioned and the results were unfit for purpose, so compensate, the full release will have different sizes of "the same" body shell. In fact the beta release already does with the Morris Minor, Audi saloon and 90s coupe style bodies

1. Could happen
2. Will happen
3. Already exists - the platform is "Ford Mustang" the model is "GT, LX etc." - yes, I know the difference between make/model/trim, but for the purposes of the game, that's how it is
4. Could happen
5. Cannot and will not be done

Thanks for sharing!

1. Will be added, yes.
2. Sorting already works in the beta build we're using.
3. As easy to do manually, so no.
4. Hmm, not quite sure what you mean, but car materials will not be selectable for individual parts of the car, that's too little gameplay gain.
5. That won't happen for technical reasons, too complicated unfortunately.

Cheers!
