Re: Ichito Performance Auto

Despite Japan being one of the worlds leading car manufacturers, I dont think there are many members here basing their companies there. Looking forward to seeing more designs.

Nice cars and engines mate, as for the alt + tab thing, try running the game in a window. Generally less crashes.

Re: Ichito Performance Auto

Right then, I have been hard at work with another vehicle. This time I have dabbled in the world of hot FF hatchbacks, with this:

Image

This is the Super Fun Box Mantis XRX, the track day special variation of the regular Fun Box Mantis (Which I will post another time). This car will seat five and go fast, as well as offering an upscale sporty interior lined with alcantra and that mystery stuff that is used for race car interiors. Each of the two roof spoilers is adjustable and ca also double as a handy roof rack.

The engine is a 2.2L turbocharged unit outputting 276HP and 251ftlb torque, at 6800 and 3400RPM, respectively.

Re: Ichito Performance Auto

After some business considerations, IPA has reorganized its various divisions. IVIP is dead, and two new branches have been created. One branch, IAC (Ichito Aircraft Company), has been spun off to produce small commercial aircraft. Another branch, IPES (Ichito Performance Engine Supply), has been created to supply automotive engines to smaller companies which do not have the resources to develop their own.

In honor of the formation of the IAC branch of IPA, IPA has released a new vehicle. This new vehicle, the Kitakaze (Northwind), draws inspiration from the low drag forms of an aircraft (queue Saab-ish commercial) as well as the smooth lines of an aerofoil. It is designed to be the everyday car for the person who does not need to transport more than one other, or the weekend car of a middle-class family with a sedan or MPV. The main goal of the Kitakaze was to maximize driver involvement while minimizing wallet involvement. The interior is nicely trimmed in Alcantra and that mystery stuff used on old touring cars to give a sporty feel, with a stitching that will match your exterior color of choice. This sporty feel is complimented by the low ride height and a choice of two precise steering racks. Power steering is standard, however the buyer may choose to select an unassisted manual steering at no extra cost. A six-speed manual transmission with rear wheel drive is the only drivetrain available. For the daily driver, the Kitakaze boats an impressive 7.6l/100km (31MPG) of fuel consumption when driven reasonably.

The engine powering the Kitakaze is a lightweight 1.6L 4 cylinder, designed more to give instantaneous response than to provide absolute power.

Re: Ichito Performance Auto

With the new test track built, IPA has finally settled back into the world of making cars which are absolutely nuts. Take this next car, the new Hayairan'ninggukujira (Japanese meaning Fast Running Whale). This car, of only which 2300 examples will be made, is the result of a collaboration between IPA and IPES. This car was originally to be called the Shironagasukugira (Blue Whale) and feature a reasonable inline 6 producing around 350HP. And then a V8 was stuffed in it and some spoilers were tacked on. The end result was this:

And here is the engine, a 5 liter twin turbo flatplane V8.
