Two questions - future cars and car versions

Hi devs!
I've got two questions for you, as written in the subject.

1) First question is about "future" cars: how would you handle "future" cars bodies, for example? Have you got some ideas in what to unlock, for example, in 2025 game year?

2) The second question is more generic. Each car in real world has got several "versions", that defer from the base model for the engine (base model's got a 1.4 litres L4, perhaps there's a 2.0 litres diesel fueled and so on), but the body of the car is the same (e.g. FIAT Punto 1.1 fire, FIAT Punto 1.9 Jtd (turbodiesel), FIAT Punto 1.4 GT (with some difference on suspensions and brake system too...) ). Different versions could also have different optionals, such as an improved stereo system, more comfortable seats and so on.

I'm sorry if somebody already asked those questions on the forum, I did not intend to repeat or annoy you.

Re: Two questions - future cars and car versions

1) The game period is 1946-2020, or something like that. So probably, there won't be 2025 game year. But, 2010's bodys will probably be based on real-life concept cars.

Re: Two questions - future cars and car versions

2) yes that has been asked before :) They are generally called trim models and was said to be in the game. So yes, you can have main models with several (or few, or none as you choose) trim models of it. How exactly this will be implemented remains unknown.
Note: while turbos are planned, along with different suspension and brakes, diesels are not expected to be included on release but may be added as a future expansion.

Re: Two questions - future cars and car versions

Thanks for your reply, that "diesel engine" thing was just an example, because here in Italy diesel cars are very frequently sold.
