Re: Supercars won't support big engines.

Main point is that current mid-engined cars - ferrari's and lambo's typically have v10's and v12's as standard in longitudinal config. If we have a hard time fitting a moderate V8 into these shells then how are we gonna put in the v12's when they are out. I'd say we should be able to easily fit a 5-6L V10 in the smaller mid engine body and like at least 8L V12 in the bigger body. That would mean we could load in a n approx 4L inline 6 which I don't think we can do right now.

The smaller one is more a lotus exige/elise body, check the wheelbases, it's a smaller then a super car. This one will probably come into it's own once we get the v6 engine.

I've tried absolutely everything. RWD, AWD, it doesn't seem to matter on the car. I have the previous image set to one tick of stroke higher than the absolute largest engine I have been able to get in. The absolute largest V8 the game will allow on the larger body style is around 2400 CC. Inline 6 won't fit no matter what I do.

Re: Supercars won't support big engines.

Well, this is strange. I have a 5.8L V8 that I built for another car. When I design a supercar, it always tells me anything over about 300cc per cylinder is too long, regardless of the layout of the car. I made the car and changed the engine to the 5.8L V8 in the trim. It's telling me in the designer that the engine is too long, but it's not giving me a bit of trouble anywhere else using that engine. Circumstantial glitch, maybe?

The following are my specs, if the devs or anyone else comes across this again.

You've tried mid longitudinal rwd McPherson strut? 2400cc sounds like you have transverse.

Re: Supercars won't support big engines.

Like I said, I tried every combination. But, I figured out it was a graphical or calculation glitch.

But, IF the game is going to humor me and let me build a 10 liter beast of a V8, I would very much so like something to put it in. :D

I don't get you people :s You already can! :) Even into the tiny golf body you can fit an NA 10.9L DOHC V8. So where is the problem exactly? Doesn't that humor you enough? ;)
